Your fatuous exercise trying to tie socialism to the Nazis has now morphed in to a defense of Germany's actions during WWII. Pretty sad.

You spoiled your own question by presenting socialists as a one dimension. They were multi faceted.

I recall for example when Truman seized our steel industry. I was a kid at the time but recall what FDR did to American industry because he wanted to be in the war.

    Germany illegally invaded our allies.

we came to the defend of our allies.

    an aggressor cannot claim "self-defense".

Only when Ike attacked Germany with the help of England. Then is when Hitler defended Germany.

It is far more than myself that ties socialism to the Nazis but American democrats for a strange reason fight me over that. Are they socialists?

Dark words are wrong.^^^ France was under the control of both the Nazis and the Vichy. Are you saying they asked FDR to invade at Normandy?

What about when Johnson invaded Vietnam? You want to claim he did not invade?

    an aggressor, cannot yell "self-defense".

if someone tries to rape you, and you fight back, are you now the aggressor???

France was our ally. they were attacked by an evil enemy.

    we came to their defense.

coming to the defense of an invaded/attacked ally, is not "aggression".

I did not say we were the aggressor yet so thanks for trying to include that part.
Here is my claim so please knock off this tirade you are engaged in.

We invaded Normandy. We had invaded Africa. We invaded Sicily. We invaded Italy.

What about that do you fail to understand?

So Germany raped us? Germany had first attacked us? Did we sink their submarines? Did we execute some Germans in the East?

The true and legal government of France, was in exile.

they coordinated with the Americans and British to push back the Nazi invasion.

yes, they asked for our help and we gave it.

but you call Normandy an act of "aggression"???

    wow

    Germany attacked our ally, France.

they asked for our aid and we gave it.

the Nazis were the aggressors and they cannot yell "self defense!!".

    your argument is absurd.

Ike was first to admit he felt unqualified for the office of President. His popularity, like that of General Grant, propelled him into the office, and almost that alone brought peace to the world, it seemed. All was good. He wasn't the best president, by accounts I've read, but everyone was behind him no matter what he did because they trusted him. He had a good heart. The country was united under Ike, and all was good.

Trump reminds me a lot of Ike. A lot. Trump is everything that's right with America. Biden is everything that's wrong with America

They attacked our allies. Why are you defending a racist dictatorship that attacked our allies? I'm sorry, but you need to sort out your priorities.

I agree the germans thought they were protecting themselves from justice being served.. I find it amazing that cause and effect are so easily switched in trumpland

And as for nazis being socialist - Night of the Long Knives sorted that out rather definitively.

Ronstar you have only one reason to keep attacking me. You want to attack me. You do not pay attention to reason.

And you believe the government of France was in other countries? France should have easily beat Hitler. They had a larger military in fact. They allowed their own defeat. And you may think that then NATO existed. It came later Ron. France had prepared for an invasion.

Trump reminds you of IKE? Yeah, the same dedication to service to the nation, the same moral fibre, the same courage, the same compassion, the same kind of leadership

    Time for some new specs.

our ally, France, was attacked. Unprovoked.

their government in exile, asked for our help.

we gave them our help, to fight against an evil aggressor.

I can understand you if you admit you are defending Socialism. I do not defend Socialism. And since I believe Hitler was himself socialist, I do not defend him either. As to my comments Hitler did defend Germany, that is history.

Trump spent his years defending Americans first. Trump did a lot to make America great. And like Nazis did in WW2, Trump got attacked here at home.
