    What did we accomplish? The Taliban is stronger today than it was a year ago. Afghanistan is back to the same place before 9/11. They are right now once again a safe have for several terrorist organizations.

    Our southern border is unsecured and open to all unopposed.


    How is any of that a plus?

    before I would let any Muslim into the country I would ask

    "you're driving a taxi, a blind woman with a guide dog needs a ride, what do you do?"

    if they say they would refuse the ride, we determine they are a religious fanatics and deny them entry

    Excellent questions. Inerality.......(harsh as itis)....... we accomplished nothing. ..............and that just reinforces the fact that the war should never have been started in the first place. War is not the response to and ism.......ie terrorism. If one goes to war...one goes to conquer the objective country..........and we should know that by now.

    We gave some afghainis a window of stability, and a sample of what life could be like........ But the culture sis too different for them to fight for these changes.

    When they are ready to make the changes and progress....... only then will they be motivated to fight for those values.

    Would it be better to stay indefinitely and have the Afghans become even more dependent on us??

    Where we failed was trying to "nation build".

    The afghan culture is ungovernable in a democratic sense. They will never be ready for that.

    You are right about the nation building mistake. Their culture is invested in tradition s that don't allow for change and progress.

    They are tribal. Each tribe has different traditions. They can't be unified into a single society.

    That's what's starting to happen to us.

    You hit the nails....on their heads on both counts. They don't want unit due to the tribal factors.......and we are losing our unity because of what is almost tribal too. So we have a lot of nerve trying to show others how to run things. Sorry if that sounds a bit harsh.

    Biden broke his promise to evacuate every American citizen before we removed all troops from Afghanistan. He just committed the most disgraceful act in US history.

    Trump's deal had contingencies, Biden not only had no contingencies but risked American lives for a photo op. So don't give me that A: The withdrawal couldn't have been better, and B: That no one here wouldn't have planned a better withdrawal. There were several easier decisions that the military could have and did not make. Biden's now one of the top 5 worst presidents in American history, and there's nothing the Left can do about it.
