Here in Oregon there are sites where one can just drive or walk up to and get a test.

I wish your wish could come true, Ramp. Sadly, it will never happen.

Wow... are we all monoclonal antibody treatments believers all of a sudden.. this is not about vaccines..

Responsible states don’t have Biden’s open border policy to deal with…a lot different when Biden’s infected illegal invaders are just walking into your state as it is in Texas... This deadbeat state is dealing with the real deal while your "responsible states." are playing the liberal blame game.

And this is the Biden admin withholding supplies causing the problem, not Texas
"While the Biden administration has cut supplies of monoclonal antibody treatments and testing kits when they are needed most, the State of Texas is urging the federal government to step up in this fight and provide the resources necessary to help protect Texans. “”

    1. there is no "open border policy"
    2. if these "infected invaders" are being shipped elsewhere what is texas dealing with?
    3. no supplies are being witgh hels (;ole when the son in law in chief was pitting state vs state
    4. the manufacture of monoclonal antibodies may not be as simple as you think
    5. what role does the federal government have in this cirus? i can quote any number of elected repubs, conservative pundits, and trump himself ....

The border patrol believe that they never catch about half the illegals crossing the border. That renders this discussion invalid.

The content of the article indicates that it is a request to increase them after the Federal government had previously cut them back.

It sounds like it's not a request for additional supplies but to maintain what they had being we are about to go into an omicron spike. He is just doing his job and making sure his state has plenty.

One thing we can both agree on is that secession is the best thing for this nation. Liberals can keep to their little beehives in the deep north and west coast. Everything else is ours.

How can you just repeat fake news fibs like this when the lie is so easily refuted?

Only 10 states have a better COVID record than Texas.

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

And you wonder why the American Electorate is turning away from the constant slander division and disinformation spread by some on the Left Wing?

Less than 16% of Texans have contracted COVID.
Nearly 22% of Rhode Islanders have. If Texans have "sabotaged the COVID effort" how have they managed to do a superior job of avoiding infection than the average American and those in 39 of the 50 States?

texans are dying because they have not had the same personal responsibility to protect themselves as other states. if things are so great, why is their governor asking the weak and senile president for help

Fake News. Your claim is easily tested and found false. In the United States 17% of Americans have caught COVID. In Texas only 15.8% have. The average Texan has done a 7% better job than the average American, avoiding COVID.

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

The Biden Administration deliberately limited supplies of monoclonal antibodies to the states by buying them up. When states need more of the life-saving treatments they have been directed to ask the federal government for more, which is what Texas has done. Texas' request is a perfectly proper one.

Distribution of Regeneron and Eli Lilly monoclonal antibodies (that have less efficacy on Omicron) has ceased based on erroneous modeling data the CDC put out claiming 73% of new cases are Omicron. Unfortunately for Americans, that estimate is now only 23%. So Americans are being denied antibodies that would be very effective in 77% of cases (delta) while the only antibodies being distributed that work well on Omicron are in very short supply. More Americans will die because the CDC and FDA effed up AGAIN on monoclonal antibodies. And you guys are completely oblivious to it all. Not that anyone would care anyway I guess.

Why do you want to withhold aid from Texas that would normally be available to the States?
Your Ivermectin dodge is a red herring.
Now that you know that Texas has done a superior job than the United States avoiding catching and spreading COVID, suddenly you no longer wish to discuss that?

    You claimed:
A higher percentage of Texans have avoided COVID, and you can't spread it if you don't catch it, than the average American. You need to apologize to Texas for spreading COVID disinformation about Texans.

Yes, I'm sure the million + illegals that Biden has let through our border without testing has absolutely NOTHING to do with anything huh?

Secession is the correct move for all involved. Local autonomy is ALWAYS the answer.

we don't know how many people biden has "let" into the country or if they are tested or vaccinated. i do agree with you that compared with the vast numbers of "freedumb" loving americans this has nothing to do with anything.

the answer? what was the question again?

many questions are best answered at the local level. many require greater study and cooperation than are available at a local state or even national level. i consider the current (and future, possibly more deadly) pandemics to be global in scope.

"if there is one question that was answered by the civil war it is the right of states to secede" antonin scalia

i do support a "second civil war" though, as an object lesson to those who think that would be an easy "win" for their team.

Even the NY Times as of October 2021 pegged the amount of illegals that has entered this country at 1.7 million. LINK: Illegal Border Crossings Soar to Record High, New Data Shows - The New York Times (nytimes.com) And that is only the ones that were actually caught. Additionally the WH admitted that illegal immigrants are only tested when they show symptoms. And the fact that its admitted that we are short of testing kits bears this out. So just stop with the BS defense of the indefensible. That you actually believe that letting in 1.7 million illegals into this country without testing except when symptoms are shown has no effect on the spread of a virus shows just how naive you are. That's assuming that you don't already know the truth but won't admit it for partisan reasons.

What utter crap. No one is sabotaging anything except if course Democrats who seem hell bent on using covid 19 to turn the US into some sort ersatz police state.

Hard to notice something that doesn't exist. The only problem we have is a federal government that appears to want to use the most effective treatment for Covid to reward their friends and punish their foes.
