    never said it was not, I said we should treat it like drunk driving, make ads, ect, get the message out that it is not acceptable

    I can agree with that. I am all for education when it comes to safe firearms handling, which certainly includes carrying a firearm while intoxicated. I also think firearms safety should be standard in high school, like drivers education. Not mandatory, but certainly encouraged and available.

    There are already laws against it and it's a well-known fact that alcohol and guns don't mix and it's highly discouraged.

    Are you thinking perhaps some billboards on the side of the interstate?

    If there is anyone who is not aware that alcohol lowers your inhibitions and can cause you to make bad decisions than those people probably do not need to be handling guns whether they're sober or drunk

    I did see your question. Given the fact that many, perhaps the majority of deaths from gunshot are suicides, I was not sure how effective your remedy would be. I could not imagine how we could develop the degree of prescience required.
