Any serious effort to do what your headline says is Unconstitutional, and if it somehow manages to pass (one lone Legislator proposing some dumbass stuff doesn't mean it's going to become law), it will be smacked down by the Courts in short order. In fact, what he's doing reminds me of what you and others do when you constantly create thread after thread after thread trying to tell us Americans what we should and shouldn't do vis-a-vis gun control. Everything you dream of is Unconstitutional, and to the event that was ever in doubt, those doubts were put to rest with the Bruen decision. It's not going to happen overnight, but there will be no AWBs anywhere in the country, like above, in short order as the Courts smack those down to, and for the same reason. Both ideas are not lawful under the Constitution.
I beg to differ, but maybe not in the way that you think after reading those four words. I am pro-choice, but that ends at the time that brainwaves are present and detectable. We consider the end of brain activity to be death, even if the body continues on autopilot, so there is no reason whatsoever to not view the beginning of life the same way. What I have found, however, it that there are very few people who are willing to compromise even an inch on this topic. Those who are strongly pro-life aren't even willing to admit that an egg that was fertilized 5 minutes ago is anything but a fully formed human being, with all the rights that come with that. Those who are strongly pro-choice aren't even willing to admit that a fetus 5 minutes before what would otherwise be a normal birth is not. Both positions are ridiculous, but most people have their heels dug in and are unwilling to even listen to reason about it. I'm not most people, though, and in many ways aside from my views on abortion. But with two sides that drastically separate, I'm not sure what a good answer is. FWIW, I think the Supreme Court made the proper legal decision in overturning Roe, even RBG was on the record saying it was improperly found. I think you could make a case on 9th and/or 10th Amendment grounds, but that was not argued, and Courts only address issues put before them, they're not going to spontaneously make a ruling based on something that wasn't presented to them. Despite that, it is my opinion that abortion should be legal until brainwaves are present, which I'm told occurs at about 22 weeks. Give a little buffer for early developers, and draw a line in the sand at 20-weeks, after which it's only an option if the health or life of the mother is in doubt. 20 weeks is over 3 months, if you can't figure out you are preggo and decide what you want to do about it in that amount of time, that's your problem. I would advise women who are not actively trying to make a baby to be on birth control, and if there is any doubt, say perhaps a condom broke, or you got drunk and are not even sure if you had sex the night before, much less who with, get the morning after pill and be done with it.
Pardon me while I gag myself. It's not the 1950s anymore, and women being sexual creatures, and enjoying it, is no longer a bad thing. You need to get over your visions of a return to those backwards times, it's simply not happening.
The vast vast vast majority of “late term” abortions (after the second trimester) are for foetal abnormality incompatible with life
You don't have to be on birth control or use condoms to 'aim for the chin' as the expression goes. Though I do recommend both methods for anyone having sex for fun, even if it's only once in awhile.
Really? You really think women need YOU to advise them on this?? What a low opinion you have of women.... BTW, NO one is obligated to use birth control.....
Oh dear! Please tell me you are NOT one of those who seem unaware……. https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2015/p0407-teen-pregnancy.html One of the most effective Aus of reducing the abortion rate is to make LARCS easily available and cheap
Please. I know more about birth control than your average physician. Before I got hurt, my wife and I went to sex parties almost every weekend (and hosted quite a few, too), and collectively we have had sex with more people than your average 'normal' person even sees in a lifetime of watching porn. We are very well versed in the art of not creating babies, as it has never happened, at least to our knowledge. Obviously we would know if she got pregnant, and in my entire history I've only had but a single condom break on me, but we know that did not result in an unwanted pregnancy. How we know that... I'm not going to share, so it's your call if you believe me or think me to be a liar. The point is that it's not something we lack knowledge about.
not limited to party "Religious school grads likelier to have abortions" https://www.nbcnews.com/health/heal...l-grads-likelier-have-abortions-flna1C9437875
Are you aware that most women who abort are in a steady relationship (including marriage) w/ the man who got them pregnant?
Plenty of anti choice women have abortions when THEY get pregnant. https://joycearthur.com/abortion/the-only-moral-abortion-is-my-abortion/
there is no possible way that a state has the power to criminalize such travel and not have the federal courts smack it around. It's no different than say Alabama trying to charge someone for prostitution if they pay for a blow job at a legal brothel in say Nevada or Montana charging someone for smoking dope in Alaska
you are aware that the vast majority of abortions come from the failure to use contraception and for convenience?
Leaving aside the ridiculous claim that abortion is in any way “convenient” (or cheap) that is incorrect. https://khn.org/news/article/post-roe-contraceptive-failures-carry-bigger-stakes/ With the high failure rates of condoms and birth control methods it would make sense to use LARCS only they are out of reach for many https://www.kff.org/womens-health-p...look-at-experiences-preferences-and-coverage/
There are women who brag about having multiple abortions. I want you to tell me what is the motivation for most abortions. I need a good laugh. speaking of laughs, what do you think the failures come from-say NOT USING contraception?
Kinda hate to put it this way........but it sounds a lot like the Taliban..........and how they "CONTROL" women. Ever since the undoing of Roe vs Wade........things have been going BACKWARDS at a rather fast rate. The issue is complicated when religious beliefs and the law/ societal rules If one is "religious"........... then one has o problem........... No one is forcing anyone to have an abortion. and in turn religious folks have no right to force their beliefs on others that have different philosophies in life. One is not "better" than the other......just "different" The issue is basically a medical one.......between a person, her physician, the sperm doner.(if relevant) and HER personal life philosophy. Free choice. free will. But.......If the young were exposed to good sex education from an appropriate time(age)= from a health professional........ and were taught how to PREVENT pregnancies in the first place.......that would be an improvement on the current state of affairs. EDUCATION.......EDUCATION.........EDUCATION !! How one Learns about human reproduction and when......has an impact for the rest of their lives.
If any woman brags about having multiple abortions .......one can factor in her ??education level, her social status, her mental status........( does not sound mentally fit.......and if that is the case....then it is better that she has abortions than trying to parent a child. ( as that is a recipe for a totally dysfunctional relationship. Parenting is one big job. One is shaping the life and character of a new human being and what one does/says -the example one sets - has a lifelong impact
