To DeSantis' "Don't Say Gay" Bill and "Don't Say Black" legislation, we can now add his "Don't Say Period" Bill. Republicans in Florida are insisting on passing bill after bill, each one more obscure than the last, that will have dire consequences in many kids now in school.

Ignorant politicians who have NO idea how education works simply want to make the teacher's jobs harder. And any that complain, as we have seen in this forum, simply get tagged as "pedophiles". Fascists know that education is their one formidable enemy, and they are intent on fighting it with all their might.

But these are REAL children. REAL human beings who rely on teachers for their education. None of this will stay for long. But, in the mean time, Florida children are at a huge disadvantage compared to other states.

Spoken like a true "Statist"! Real parents.....Moms and Dads, rely upon themselves to give the "sex talks" to their children. It is none of public education's concern. They do rely on teachers they choose to teach vocational skills however. That is why they need to be involved with who educates them.

 

The term "period" is hate speech since females, assigned "Male" at birth, do not get them.

 

This law is so ridiculous. Every 15 yr old on up, will joke around and call their friends and anyone else gay and worse. This law is just aching for abuse.

Show us the text of the bill that says "don't say period". Then we can discuss it, because there's no such thing as the don't say gay and don't say black bills.

Can teachers teach basic killing techniques, with multiple types of weapons, including hand-to-hand to better prepare the upcoming generation to defend themselves?

This law is probably a reaction to the things libs are doing, are on video doing it, while saying it never happens. If the left didn’t go all woke in the classroom most likely none of this would have happened.

 

This response is for the more moderate readers and not necessarily directed at the poster quoted or partisans that believe these bills are innocuous after seeing the results from similar bills — the purpose of this bill like other bills being passed in Florida and Tennessee is the ambiguity and vagueness that allows districts to overreact to avoid the potential of lawsuits.

If Florida legislators were not doing this on purpose then their bills would be precise and not open to interpretation.

Any party that has to push bills through while trying to allow such or hide their true purpose should be held in absolute contempt by the voters of the United States.

Then don't send them to public schools. Because if the girl has her first period in school, teachers have NO other option but to talk about it with her.
