That's assuming the bridge is a reason. I suspect it has more to do with Russia hoping to use it as a bargaining chip and coming up short.

Big difference Zoomer .. This is not how these little proxy affairs work Zoomer .. the point of a Proxy --- is that technically you are not at war with the USA - NATO so you are not attacking each others Territory. Did you not know this zoomer ? :frustrated::frustrated:

No wonder your Geopolitical assessment ability is so woeful -- Russia attacking Romania .. as Romania now officially at War with Russia .. having just attacked them .. is a bit of a big deal Zoomie .. there is a difference between Russia attacking Ukraine .. and Russia attacking Romania.

And what is this nonsense about Law Zoomer .. There is no Law .. Do you remember nothing of the words of the Prophet -- when told you bad idea to throw out the Rule book .. and so many tears crying "No No No" we can do what we want .. "Do as we Say .. Not as We Do"

Think you do remember Zoomie .. just pretending otherwise .. in desperate attempt to try to blaspheme the name of the Savior .. trembling in fear . doing the Orc Orc Cheer .. during the special operation .. of denazification.

Nice to see Ukraine's counter-terror operation concluded successfully. I wish them just as much luck in the future. Now that Turkey has begun to escort the grain shipments, Putler has effectively lost control of the Black Sea.

I've watched all the videos...not seeing any explosions. All I see is traffic stopped.

It would be funny if it collapsed on its own, wouldn't it?

Not really....if Canada/US/Australia/South America have bumper crops....that will cushion any rough spots where it may appear.

Grain deal doesn't impact the Americas. Kind of why we rule really...in that we are self sufficient at most everything.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest Turkey will take matters into their own hands with the grain deal. Looks like it will impact Europe, Spain, Saudi Arabia and North Africa...specifically Egypt. Why does Russia wanna starve North Africa?

Apparently it does impact prices globally. So even if we're not talking about actual shortages of grain to feed people, it may jack up prices and make food less affordable. In any event, it does seem strange for Russia to sabotage their Africa initiative like this. I saw that the Wagner mutiny may also have some impact. Makes sense since it's Wagner and not the Russian military that's in those countries.

    Hi, Tough Talk.

If wheat prices are higher overseas than in the US, what's to stop American wheat dealers from selling their wheat overseas? If they did, wouldn't that raise prices in the US due to less wheat being available in the US?

    Regards, stay safe 'n well.

Torus, are you aware that Russia has been signaling for months already that they were not going to renew the deal?

    Hi, Durandel.

President Vladimir Putin signals many things. Some of them come to pass. Some of them do not.

    Regards, stay safe 'n well.

Yes. However, the point here is that while the announcement has come in the wake of this apparent attack on the Crimean bridge, it is not likely to be the reason Russia has officially withdrawn from it. But they may be using it as a smokescreen and to score political points.

It will impact us if we start sharing ours to make up the difference. But I believe the most likely outcome is that Turkey will say "**** you" to Russia and continue the deal regardless. Because the last time Russia tried to hold the grain hostage that's what Turkey declared.

Turkey will tell Russia to go **** themselves and continue the grain deal regardless. Because that was their position last October.

    The New Voice of Ukraine
Russians appalled at suggested routes out of Crimea
Mon, July 17, 2023 at 3:42 PM CDT

After an apparent Ukrainian attack took out the Crimean Bridge out of commission on July 17, Russian civilians are stunned by the government advice they are getting on how to best leave the occupied peninsula for Russia proper.

The panic is evident in their travel chat posts, as shared by Anton Herashchenko, advisor to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry.

In response to the attack on the bridge, Russian authorities have suggested a highly controversial alternative route: directing their citizens to journey home via the temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine’s Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, and Donetsk oblasts. These areas are already strained with logistic issues, having been the transit points for the Russian Armed Forces' supply routes.

    ... https://news.yahoo.com/russians-appalled-suggested-routes-crimea-204200765.html

I don't know how else they should expect to get out. Do they want a special airlift across? Have fun getting out through the temporarily occupied territories, invaders. I and everyone else who isn't on the Kremlin payroll hope it will be a one-way trip!
