China might agree to supply the EU with 1 million 155 shells per month for a promise they will be used to take down Russia. ;-)

Uhhh...it seems like more concrete political interference when you actively have a candidate POISONED. Lol. And those suspected fled to Russia of all places.

Much, MUCH more concrete than a phone call discussing politics 10 years after the fact.

So ya got anything to counter this or...?

:D.....or more likey not be able to....is it a bit of an oxymoron to have "effectivley" qualified by "might be".....:D.....personally I think it will be decades before the Russian MOD can do anything "effectively" after the larruping they're getting at the moment.

The dildo of consequences rarely comes lubed as they say....:roflol:....Russia merrily marching backwards into the future bless em'

Opinion: Why Putin wants a "forever war"
Opinion by Mark Galeotti, executive director of the consultancy Mayak Intelligence

When Westerners talk about the conflict in Ukraine becoming a “forever war,” they tend to mean it as a bad thing. For Russian President Vladimir Putin, though, it likely is a goal.

When Putin talks of the operation in Ukraine as one of the “decisive battles for the fate of our Motherland,” as he did at this year’s Victory Day parade, he seems to be speaking from the heart — and to the new creed of his regime. He was offering no clear vision of the future, nor even any real hope, just the message that the nation was locked in an existential struggle with a hostile West with no real end in sight.

This sounds like a grim prospect, but from Putin’s perspective, it also has its clear virtues. Of course, the war is a catastrophe for Russia. US government sources suggest Russia may have suffered 120,000 killed and 170,000-180,000 wounded troops.

The economic scarring will take years to heal even when peace has been agreed and sanctions are lifted.

But it is an opportunity, too. As the forever war becomes the organizing principle of “late Putinism,” it excuses — even demands — the tightening grip of repression Putin needs to maintain his control of the nation. Even the mildest dissent becomes treason, and the massive shift in resources to the defense sector becomes a necessity.

My Latvian friend is back on the forum. Have yous put out car tires near Jurmala yet? Or are they smoldering since 2016 until now? I saw smoke even from Stockholm.
By the way, are yous preparing for war with the Russians? In Latvia, bridges are collapsing and some main roads have been repaired for five years. It seems that all this is to prevent Russian tanks from getting through.:roflol::roflol::roflol:

It figures that someone defending the Putin regime so vehemently doesn't even live in it. You're just another long-distance dick-tater lover.

I think you have issues with English.

Lol. If that's what you think just happened, it's no wonder you seem to ignore Russia's obvious interference in Ukrainian politics at least 10 years before the Maidan revolution.

    LOL.

Does the United States have the right to interfere in Ukrainian politics, but Russia does not have the right? And who established such a rule? Maybe God?

We are not interfering in Ukraine. The only difference is that Ukrainians seek closer ties and more cooperation with us, and not with you. I should hope that this awful war you've brought to Ukraine gives you some indication of why that is.

The reality of the chain of events in 2004 gives me assurance that Russia was absolutely knee deep in meddling with Ukrainian politics thus breaking the Budapest Memorandum well before you can say that the United States was.

Russia actively tried to assassinate a political candidate. 10 years before this Nuland phone call Russia claims is proof of interference. (which it isn't)

These two things beyond being 10 years apart are not even in the same ballpark of comparable. I wouldn't classify the Nuland phone call as interference or evidence of interference. But POISONING a political candidate absolutely is.

The exposed vulnerability of Russia under Putin is astonishing.

“Russia’s invasion has made this bad demographic hand cataclysmic. At least 120,000 Russian soldiers have died so far—many in their 20s and from the same small generation Russia can scarcely afford to lose. Many more have emigrated, if they can, or simply fled to other countries to try to wait out the war; exact numbers are hard to calculate, but the 32,000 Russians who have immigrated to Israel alone suggest the total number approaches a million.

Disastrously, the planning horizons of Russian families have been upended; it is projected that fewer than 1.2 million Russian babies may be born next year, , which would leave Russia with its lowest birthrate since 2000. A spike in violent crime, a rise in alcohol consumption, and other factors that collude against a family’s decision to have children may depress the birthrate further still. Ironically, over the last decade Putin managed to slow (if not reverse) Russia’s population decline through lavish payoffs for new mothers. Increased military spending and the debt needed to finance it will make such generous natalist policies harder.

The invasion has left Russia even worse off geopolitically. Unlike hard numbers and demographic data, such lost influence is hard to measure. But it can be seen everywhere, from public opinion polls across the West to United Nations votes that the Kremlin has lost by margins as high as 141 to 5. It can also be seen in Russia’s own backyard; while an emboldened NATO could soon include Sweden and Finland, Russia’s own Collective Security Treaty Organization is tearing at the seams as traditional allies such as Kazakhstan and Armenia realize the Kremlin’s impotence and look to China for security.”
FOREIGN POLICY, Russia Has Already Lost in the Long Run, Even if Moscow holds onto territory, the war has wrecked its future., By Brent Peabody, FEBRUARY 13, 2023, 3:31 PM. (emphasis mine)

Whom? Yushchenko or what? Yes, it's fake again, they say he wanted to rejuvenate with stem cells unsuccessfully. Or maybe the Americans slipped him something so that he wouldn't die, but disfigure his face. Then you can blame everything on Putin.

Who cares…. Even if one accepts your premise it’s a pretty pointless thought based on current events.

This is one of the main goals of Russian Nazis, they what to be "like the US", at least what they understand what the US are (spoiler, they do not understand a lot). On one hand, the US is evil to them, on the other, they want to be like the US too. Some kind of schizophrenia in nation level.

If Russia were to defeat Ukraine and there may be a possibility of it. Putin will be in and Zelenskyy would be out. That would possibly be a fact.

How is providing military aid interfering in Ukraine's politics? They are requesting military aid and we are providing. That is not interference.

    That's nice.
Lucky for you the US didn't become independent before 2004 otherwise every dirty deed perpetrated in the New World would have bit the US in the azz. Whew! That was a close call, huh! :bounce:
