Name names because Rittenhouse/lawyer never did and the dealership's owner/family deny asking for help.
Khindri was a witness at the trial. He initially told the media that he didn't ask for their help, but on the witness stand it became apparent that he lied because he was trying to get the insurance company to pay him out for the arson that wasn't technically covered by his insurance plan. He was proven to have lied after text messages and video of him hanging with them were provided. The truth is that he asked for their help, gave them a key to his business, and even provided them with a ladder so they could position themselves on top of the roof. When he was questioned about this on the stand he fell apart. It's actually one of the most entertaining witness testimonies in the trial because of how ridiculous he was. It was actually pretty hilarious and I'd recommend watching his testimony if you need a good belly laugh. As I've said earlier in this thread, it was another example of prosecutorial misconduct because it was obvious the prosecutors knew he was lying and knew he intended to lie on the witness stand (for insurance purposes). But, they called him to lie under oath anyway. Here's one of the brothers proudly posing for a photo with them on his lot.
Rittenhouse. There's also video of both brothers, business owners, hanging out with them. It's a common misconception that keeps getting told that the business owner didn't want them there. It was reported on ad nauseam in the liberal media to the point where they've convinced a lot of people of the lie. It doesn't change the fact that Rittenhouse had a right to defend himself, but they feel like it's a moral feather in their cap that they can use to attack him. Unfortunately, they're just propagating misinformation.
Yes, you are entitled to wander a public street. He didn't pretend to be a crime fighter, he was assaulted 3 times and defended himself with some serious restraint.
No he had been invited by a land owner in the area. Invites by a resident count as business. Dare me to do what? Wander a public street and expect to not be assaulted? I do that daily. FFS I park next to the county jail for the 4th largest city in the nation and wander in to court. I'm not allowed to be armed while I do so because you can't check arms at the courthouse door. They kick violent offenders who are in serious stim withdrawal out in the parking lot ffs. I wander dangerous streets dressed to the nines all the time dude. Perish quite mad about it.
Yes, walking a public street open carrying in a place its legal to do that is just whistling on the street. It does not give anyone carte blanche to attack you. It does not make it legally or morally right to attack you.
What crime did he commit? None. He was "allowed" to go into an area like that and "pretend to be a crime fighter."
It's ironic how the people who rant the most about threats to democracy sure do get very offended and upset when someone they disagree with politically peacefully exercises their rights. You'll notice they don't complain about the violent child diddler who was attacking a minor, they complain about the minor who didn't let the child diddler attack without defending himself. That's the part of the story that offends them.
Attacking a minor AND attempting to steal a firearm. BUT HE WAS WALKING AROUND!!! DOING THINGS HE WAS LEGALLY ENTITLED TO DO!! /sarc
Are you threatening to assault someone for exercising their right to walk down the street? Weren't you lecturing people about moral norms earlier?
I did watch much of the trial and never heard anyone from the dealership family say they asked anyone to guard their business. And you heard exactly what from them, not Rittenhouse or any lawyer of his.
Cmon man, you don't need to lie. You definitely didn't watch the dealership guys testimony entire because he literally changes his story as Cornpop described above.
You should watch the testimony. Also, trials are about evidence. All of the evidence points to the business owners not only asking for their help, but they were happy when they arrived. They smiled for photos and they literally gave them the keys to the business and helped them get on his roof. If he didn't want his friends there, why did he hand them the keys?
No but for the 1Mth time, I doubt any Rittenhouse backers would do the same thing Rittenhouse was told to do, and I assure you, none of you would last long walking around with a rifle in my neighborhood.
Rittenhouse was told to stand around and walk with a group. He gets separated by the cops forcibly cutting him off and pointing guns at him to not allow him to cross the road with his group. Again you're here threatening violence for people simply walking down a public street doing things they are perfectly well entitled to do. Its odd that you incite violence so.
