Sadly- no. In the minds of weak or corrupt people- Where truth exists, it is included to justify a lie. Where it doesn't exist, fake truth is manufactured as needed. Threats of destroying people lives will usually cause people to do whatever they must to survive; so it becomes an acceptable way to produce illusions. It takes great courage to resist evil once it is empowered. It takes at least some courage to even acknowledge truth to yourself once you have bought into supporting the choreographed hate that has been the tool of corrupt politicians.

When a person selects the truth they can use and rejects that which they can't, they are seeking evidence to back up a conclusion they contrived in advance. Anyone with a respectable personal moral
standards and self respect knows that is a despicable act. It is also a choice, and a choice that defines the person's character. Supporting what's right comes down to having the vision, the capacity to see; the morals to tell you what's right, and the courage to stand up for it.
