Wow, that's a really high horse you're sitting on. Careful you don't get a nose bleed. If you never watch the SOTU, what are you doing on this thread, other than posting this "I'm so above it all" rant?
I particularly liked Johnson's moping facial expression when Biden called out Trump for adding the largest total to the federal debt ever. Of course, he knows that he voted for the tax cuts and jobs act that started the explosion of the deficit, even before covid.
For a while I've thought Bidens handlers were giving him some kind of high performance drugs to get him through speeches. Because he's not the fumbling fool at those times. Last night I decided I had it backwards; I wonder if they are medicating him on normal days so he can be easily controlled. And it's when he has pre-planned speeches they're letting him go drugless, keeping their fingers crossed that the anger and hatred will somehow be seen as strength. I've had family members with dementia who were sedated so they wouldn't yell, curse, and swat at people. At any rate, he's two different people so which is it?
How about holding her to the same standards that used to apply to all members of Congress? Loud Mouth Marge is one of the worst examples of a growing lack of decency, decorum, self-control, and civility our congress has ever known.
LOL! I am not going to get into another silly "tax cuts pay for themselves" debate. Although we all know that, after 4 years of teeth gnashing about the Biden deficit, the "tax cuts pay for themselves" meme will make a comeback, should Trump get elected. And, then, Trump voters will act all surprised again that the deficit explodes once more.
I saw a bunch of trained seals wearing the same clothing, who stood up and clapped for promises that he was making that he didn't give any details about how he planned to accomplish. Fawning over his every word, just like we see the supporters here
Did she have the lack of decency and decorum and class to rip up her copy of the speech behind his back on live TV much to the applause of all the others?
You might as well have been in the audience too clapping on demand even though all he did was make hollow promises with absolutely no details on how he plans to accomplish them. Just make sure you wear white like the rest of them...
So, you're only here to ketch? That's two so far. I agree about Senator Britt's vapid, poorly acted rebuttal, if you can even call it that. Why does the right insist on giving us nothing but negativity? At least Biden is eagerly anticipating better times for all.
That's Darth Brandon, buddy. You have it backwards. Biden is willing to compromise, gave the GOP nearly everything they asked for. It's Trump who killed the bill in the house. Remember, Johnson is the one who won't bring the bill to the floor, something he refused to do after going down to Mar a Lago and kissing Trump's ring. Trump can't campaign on improved border conditions. And btw, even illegals know how to use laundromats.
He's tried compromise, but the GOP won't have it. The word seems missing from their vocabulary, since around 1994 or so. How would you respond after three years of this: I'm glad that Biden finally learned that Congress is not what it used to be, and that there is no compromise coming from the right.
So? It matters not what you reject. MAGA tried to halt the democratic election process. People are in jail for said attempt.
Pulling our troops out of Turkey and northern Syria, leaving the Kurds to the "tender mercies" of Erdogan, who wants them all either dead or in camps, after the Kurds fought along side us for years against ISIS. I've rarely seen anything so shameful, yet there was very little hue and cry from the left. Death is still resulting. https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/iraq-turkey-airstrikes/
What compromise? Biden wouldn't do anything until the daily flow gets to 5,000. That's over 1.8 million a year. We need to control the border PERIOD. Progressives never compromise on anything. They just demand and tell you, you are a bigot when you refuse.
Lower taxes means less incoming revenue. That causes us to spend money we don't have, ergo a deficit.
That was overly demonstrative, but I made no such comparison. My post is about Marge. Your whataboutism is irrelevant to my point.
