Yeah, trump doesn’t like to use his own money, but a real billionaire should be able to scrape together 500 million in cash by mortgaging a few of his properties before the government takes over and does it for him.
That’s what you do in Monopoly when you fall into debt.
It could be that trump is an even bigger financial fake than we suspect.

 

In fact, if he did, it would prove that he's not a liar.

Because in his sworn testimony for the E. Jean Carroll trial, he claimed to have over $400 million in cash.

Trump was forced to make a collateral loan secured by an insurance company for the $83 million bond in Ms. Carroll's defamation lawsuit.

So the guy's a lot poorer than he pretends.

That isn't really the source of it for me. The problem for me is that things that uses to be "loop holes" that people were not held accountable for is ONLY a crime when Trump does it. I can pretend they aren't trying to bankrupt him for election purposes but i'd be lying! Now EVERY SINGLE PROPERTY in NYC should have the value re-assessed to make sure not one other rich new yorker EVER mis-valued a piece of property

 

I would say that one party member calling out the other party for behavior that is common within their own party is disingenuous.

Actually the fact the Trump is having difficulty coming up with the money may prove he is no where near as corrupt as many democrats claim. Why would anyone think that Putin would bail him out? Trump is a tool, a literal tool, in the cog that is the Putin machine. Why would Putin help someone he cares nothing about, who no longer has anything to offer?

 

Water is wet. I told everyone when this was decided that it would end in liquidation. No, this doesn't mean he's broke it means he doesn't have a billion in LIQUID assets, and guess what, there's not a rich person who does.

Most of them put their assets in hard capital(real estate, automobiles, etc.) And the actual monetary(liquid) value is usually much lesser. They then turn a small portion of hard assets into liquid assets as situationally required.

I bet you even Warren Buffet doesn't have half a billion in liquid assets.

 

The left wing is too attached to the government's ability to print money out of thin air to know the difficulty for just about everyone else, even the mega rich lol.

The most powerful entity in America is the US Treasury.

 

I'll bet you Buffet wouldn't have any problem getting a bond. And I'm pretty sure people like Buffet are much more interested in owning stock, which is fairly liquid, than automobiles. He still drives his old truck.

 

I have many tools. Some are very useful and I am very fond of them. It someone wanted to take that tool away from me I would probably try to stop them.
