Why ask me! If that was a silver bullet, why is it not being fired by Humpty's**** Lawyers? *Rapist *Swindler *Bordering on pathological *Built the New York skyline
Exactly…!! All of this bleating by The Stain’s sycophants about ‘statute of limitations’, ‘no felony here’, ‘not a campaign finance issue’ …prompt an obvious question… Why the hell aren’t you all taking it up with The Stain’s lawyer….??!
Ok...and that's a misdemeanor and the statute of limitations has expired. Yes...the laws laws apply to all Americans. Just like statutes of limitations apply to prosecutors. Prosecutors can't make up the law as they go. Bragg isn't above the law, no matter what you think.
Al Capone died in jail after being convicted of tax fraud. They couldn’t get him for the multiple murders he committed because our justice system isn’t a banana republic, but the outcome was just as good. Let’s hope trump goes the same way. He’s managed to delay his trials for trying to overturn the 2020 election in hopes of evading justice until after the 24 election, but most Americans, and even some maga, will not vote for a convicted felon, so the hush money trial is our current best bet to let voters know what sort of maggot they are supporting before they vote.
Everything and anything Trump does or involving him seems to be history making. I just wish he faded away into oblivion like all other sitting presidents who lost their bid for reelection did. By not doing so, Trump brought all of this on himself.
TRaitor tRump brought ALL of his legal problems on himself believing that the American legal system exists only for suckers and losers but, certainly not himself. He is without morals and unprincipled. Decorum, common decency, adhering to the golden rule and just being a good human are signs of weakness to his mind. He has no attributes to be admired and every attribute respectable people avoid and look down on. He IS corruption incarnate.
WAPO Live updates: UPDATES Day 3 of Trump’s hush money trial opens with questions about sworn jurors 'The third day of jury selection in Donald Trump’s hush money trial in Manhattan started Thursday morning with one of the seven jurors sworn for the case saying she wanted out and being excused, and lawyers raising questions about a second one. Jurors’ names are not being released publicly. But the woman said that after news reports described her profession and other details, friends, colleagues and family members conveyed to her that she had been identified as a potential juror. The fate of a second sworn-in juror — No. 4 — was up in the air Thursday morning after prosecutors said they had discovered additional information that called into question the veracity of that juror’s statements.' cont: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/04/18/trump-hush-money-trial-live-updates/
Issue with Juror # 4 that was already picked. Guy who found Trump mysterious. Prior arrest he didn't reveal, arrested for pulling down political stuff. Juror was instructed by judge to be in court by 9am and by 10 something he had yet to show.
Juror who withdrew was targeted by Fox News host 'The juror who withdrew was targeted by Jesse Watters, the Fox News host, on Tuesday evening. Watters said on his show: I’m not so sure about juror No. 2. Watters spoke directly about the juror during his show and questioned whether she could really be fair. The juror told Justice Juan Merchan on Thursday she had been contacted by friends and family asking if she was a juror.
We're seeing a very specific strategy here: Trump believes that the more toxic he is, the more immune he is from the law. The worse he behaves, the more he can claim that a judge/jury can't be impartial. It would be a recipe to make all crime legal if it were accepted. And his followers are accepting it.
I noticed this the other day. There is, IMO, way too much information being reported about the jurors. Not sure how the press gets the data, but it seems like it should be controllable. These are just regular folks, who may not like or need to be in the news, and there should be little to no personal facts about them that should be being reported. I wish this practice would end.
It's a public travesty that Trump has not yet been jailed pending trial. There is no excuse for this.
The media is in the court room when potential jurors are questioned and in the side media room where it's televised, Trump Trial Judge Directs Media To Limit Disclosure Of Juror Information' snip: UPDATE: Judge Juan Merchan directed media outlets to limit reporting on identifying information about jurors in the Trump hush money trial. Merchan has restricted the names of the jurors as they are questioned in open court. But other information, like their backgrounds and workplaces, have been disclosed as they have been questioned as part of the jury selection process. The judge said that he is going to have the answers to questions about employers redacted from the court record, but he also asked press in the courtroom and an overflow room not to report on them. “It’s become a problem,” the judge said, the a pool report. The judge also complained about reporting on personal characteristics of jurors, specifically mentioning reporting that one of the jurors had an Irish accent.' cont: https://deadline.com/2024/04/trump-hush-money-trial-jurors-1235888939/
This is obviously Trump's legal strategy at this point: sabotage everything since he knows he doesn't stand a chance at trial.
