No matter what side one falls on concerning Israel’s efforts, it is hard to ignore the fact that Israel is losing the world’s support as long as the hostilities continue.

In terms of realpolitik, are Israel’s actions actually reinforcing an idea that will plague them for years to come? Are they damaging their own cause by creating a future generation of Palestine terrorists?

The Israeli government ENSURED that Hamas won the elections, facilitating the flow of huge amounts of cash so that Hamas could get overwhelming support through the funding of civic projects. I agree their continued military actions, have greatly diminishing military objectives, while at the same time, escalate their social political problems in the area. I understand they want to remove Hamas, but they have come to a point, where Hamas has little power left as a military force and is more a guerrilla force.

 

Everything Israel does is in response to anti-Israeli aggression. If the aggression ends, Israel's defensive policies end. As long as the Palestinians keep calling for the genocide of Israel, the Israelis will keep protecting themselves.

At some point the Palestinians should be able to figure out that going to war with Israel is a losing strategy.

 

All anti-Israeli aggression comes as a result to Israeli policy and actions that trample the rights of Palestinians, including death and imprisonment of innocents and the theft of their land.

You haven't been paying attention at all then. They HAVE been trying to change the government for decades, to no avail. That is why extremism has sprouted up.

 

If other countries take Palestinians, that is, by definition, ethnic cleansing, exactly what the rest of the world is trying to prevent.

There is zero difference between the people in first and third world countries.

 

Culturally there is a huge difference which is why Palestinians and Islam toss LGBT people off roofs, still treat women like the second class and still drag bodies through streets like the middle ages.

 

Maybe Hamas should give up. Or maybe Palestinians should turn Hamas over to Israeli authorities.

History is replete with wars and occupation/take over of whole areas/countries. After a certain amount of time its time to give up and let it go and accept the new circumstances. Hundreds, if not thousands, of cultures and societies have done this. Why can't Hamas/Extremist Muslims? Israel is there to stay. Period. Full Stop. And if they have to kill everyone in the area to do it then they will. That is how WARS are conducted.

That's odd. The Native Americans were conquered, slaughtered, and oppressed. They don't set off car bombs, they don't kidnap people, they don't terrorize. They took their loss like a champ and pretty much keep to themselves. Why? Because, unlike Palestinians, they aren't religious zealots who were taught terrorism and hate from birth.

 

If you continually start wars with and attack the citizens of and pledge to wipe out entirely a country why would you not expect that country even after the failed peace attempts where they were the only ones who gave up anything to not keep you under some security control?


The Palestinians can surrender at any time. They can revolt against their government and join forces with the IDF and then live in peace with the Israel's or go elsewhere.
