Adam and Eve had more children after Abel's death, and yes it all started with incestual relationship that soon became diluted once the family link started to distant away...brothers + sisters, cousin + 2nd, 3rd 4th cousin etc. Genesis 5:4 After he begot Seth, the days of Adam were eight hundred years; and he had sons and daughters.
Oh I developed several businesses before I went to paralegal school.. but that helped me become an expert in Medical contracts and Medical office construction.
Not all, but because many demon angels of lucifer also took human forms and had sex with women to produce such giants' Genesis 6: 1-4 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God (benei ha-elohim) saw the daughters of men that they were fair, and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years. There were giants (ha-nephilim) in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God (benei ha-elohim) came unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them, the same became mighty men (ha-gibborim) which were of old, men of renown. During Noah's time the giants will disappeared just like the dinasours disappeared instantly.
The creation story is cobbled together from a half dozen ancient Jewish myths that borrowed from other, older civilizations.. Its metaphor that should be studied for the message... not history.
No. The creation as told in the Bible is the revelation of God to man. The only myths are the ones your spouting. Quantrill
The Creation story is, as creation stories are throughout the world in every culture, a teaching narrative that explains to primitive people where they come from and what their relationship is to the creator. I think you diminish it and drive modern, educated people away from faith by insisting that it is literal history or science. The story teaches our spiritual dimension on many levels.. that's why it is to be read and reread and studied.
No, the Bible is the Word of God. That which is recorded is true. The creation story occurred as recorded in Genesis. Im not worried about driving away educated people. God will reach those who are His. Lot of educated people will be in Hell. Quantrill
God gave you a brain and the evidence .. all the evidence.. proves that the earth is well over 65 million years old.
'all the evidence'? So science quit learning as they have all the evidence? God gave a brain and a spirit. And for some He has opened their eyes to see. Quantrill
There are many parables in the Bible. Not everything is to be taken literally. Even when I was a Christian I treated the creation story in Genesis more as a parable than as something that historically happened.
Science is still uncovering evidence.. The Creation mythos remains the same .. and its a spiritual revelation not an historical one. Imagine if God hadn't given you a brain, we wouldn't have anti-biotics and would still believe that demons were the source of disease. If you believe that you are created in God's image, why reject His blessings?
The entire story is a parable/allegory about growing up. Adam and Eve represent children who are forced to grow up, kicked out of the house by their "parent" and into a cruel world where they must make a living by the sweat of their brow. None of this is meant to be taken literally.
The parbles when used are known and have a purpose. The truth they point to is to be taken literally. But you do not interpret the Bible through parables. And you were wrong in doing so. Maybe thats why you gave it up. Quantrill
Yes, and science will change its mind. Bible truth will remain as it is from God. And it is both spiritual and historical. The truth is that many demonic possessions are now labled as sicknesses. I don't reject God's blessings. I don't reject God. Quantrill
Do YOU take your family to the doctor or do you call for an exorcism when they are ill? Mother Eve is buried in Jeddah in a tomb 100 feet long and 4 feet wide.. Of course the Arabs realize this is the stuff of legends.
Im a Christian, and do not worry over demon possession. Too bad Arabs don't realize the Koran is the stuff of legend and myth. Quantrill
In 1Samuel 16:14-16, God sent an evil spirit to Saul that caused him a mental breakdown. Luke 7:21 wrote about infirmities and plagues caused by evil spirits being cured by Jesus. See also Luke 8:2 & Acts 19:12-16. Matthew 4:24: "...they brought unto him [Jesus] all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy..."
I didn't say that there was no demon possession. I said as a Christian I am not worried about demon possession. Quantrill
For demon possession? I believe you are proabably as confused over demon possession as you are of anything else in the Bible. Explain your position on how one becomes demon possessed. Or do you want me to have to do it for you? Quantrill
If you conceptualize evil as Satan.. then there is no victory in attacking those who are already lost or evil. A devout Christian however would be a coup for the forces of evil. Why do you suppose Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness?
Tempting is not demon possession. You misunderstand Satan as well as demon possession. Satan or a demon does not care that one is not saved. The one who is not saved, his body and soul can provide a dwelling place for the demon. The Christian has the Holy Spirit of God dwelling in him. And the Holy Spirit is not moving for any demon or any amount of demons, or Satan. Those who are not saved, have no such assurance. Their soul and spirit is open to be filled by whatever. Quantrill
