Is it really appropriate for the Secretary of State to gloat over the death of another human being, even fallen dictator Moammar Khaddafi?

Obama refused to release the Osama bin Laden death photos because "We're not going to spike the ball."

And yet, here we have a high member of the Obama administration doing the equivalent of a victory dance in the endzone.

What say you?

I would say that probably 90% of voters would be repulsed by this type of ruthlessness. Even if Quaddafi were guilty of the crimes revisionist historians accuse him of, criminals still have rights. You can't display corpses of enemies and prisoners of war on TV, just like in the USA it is illegal to assasinate of foreign head of state, thats why the NATO spokesmen deny it was their stated goal, which it of course, was.There are also legimate questions as to whether Quadaffi really ordered or was connected in any way to Lockerbie, the blanket accusation the lamestream media used in order to justify scorched earth !

Just because Obama's cabinet and some lemming TV hosts give him the rubber stamp on drones, death, and massacre does not mean liberal or Democrat voters do!Even the perception management in todays LA Times won't acheive that. We got to many issues to fix rather than police the world with bloated defense such as this! Of course, the Preznit was quick to capitalize on the violent murder in order to boost himself politically. His stoopid and ill advised self-congratulatory press conference ...

Kaddafi was wounded and was summarily taunted and then executed. And Hillary and Obama applaud this? And they call this democracy??? Since when is installing Sharia Law democracy? Does Hillary know how women are treated under Sharia Law. And his body...along with his sons.... is being kept in a freezer in a shopping center and people are filing through to see and snap pictures. Wow....what a great bunch of people.

It is a bit to early to define how an unknown government is going to be in the future. We don't even know the result yet of Algerian elections.

 

All's fair in love and war. While it is true that the same criticism from the left that Bush received for his aggression seems to be mostly nonexistent when applied to Democrats, I personally never had a problem with executing terrorists or other enemies.

Gaddafi killed a lot of people during his reign, so I can't say I really care that he didn't get a trial.

Besides, his own people killed him. It's out of our hands, and if Hillary wants to gloat... well, I guess that puts the normally hawkish conservatives in an awkward position.

It doesn't even really matter anyway. There are hawks on both sides, and more often than not, they retain power in our system. As much as we are reluctant to admit it, we are an aggressive culture. We still have a cowboy heritage that hasn't subsided just yet, and it really has no reason to do so until we start cutting back on military spending and interventionism.

 

This is the fatal mistake the party hacks make is clinging to this Republican Prez. O-Bomber. He has zero chance of re-election as the Progressives depart and will not be swayed by Hillarys hawkishness or the TV diatribes of Rachel Maddow. Stick a fork in him. Its over.

If the Dem Party in DC or O-Bomber were smart they'd pull an LBJ and not accept the nomination and admit putting the DLC Clintonites in charge of the Admin. was a HUGE MISTAKE.

 

I think its sick and it scares me how evil and bloodthirsty liberals are.

 

Government people naturally use their power to kill their enemies. Hillary is no diplomat. She loves power and has no grace or tact. Disgraceful. Libya must be another OIL rich country important to US control. Oil will be the reason for all of our future wars.

 

Its the Libya's trophy, not ours! Who cares what the world thinks?

That is the beauty of letting their own people handle a revolution, which is what we should have done in Iraq.

BTW, Did you complain like this when Bush paraded photos of Hussein's Son's body around?

In Arkansas, Hillary is considered to be more despicable than Bill. Both of them are indubitably corrupt.

I don't think it's in anyone's best interest to gloat about the death of another countries leader, but at the same time, the Obama administration deserves credit for their foreign policy victories. Very hard to watch Republicans try and criticize when Obama has gotten Bin Laden and Gaddaffi all with little to no bloodshed.
