Walked by the Occupy Seattle camp the other day. Wow, "ripe" does not even begin to describe the stench wafting out of that sucker. Hey, people, just a note: patchouli only makes it worse.

Man the CDC needs to go around. I wouldn't be surprised if a cholera epidemic breaks out around the country. I bet cases of STD's and Tuberculosis climb through the roof.

These people are becoming a Hazard to Public Health, go in with fire hoses and lets clean them up a bit behind the ears.

Street filth. What a bunch of useless scumbags. The cities are going to allow this to get so far out of control, that by the time the do crack down, there is going to be real violence.

    This stuff isn't funny anymore.

You're probably wishing for a garbage strike, eh? That would cover up the smell! ;)

Seriously. And I've lived through a NYC sanitation strike -- the rats don't know what to do with themselves, it's like an all-you-can-eat buffet. But even the rats are probably too grossed out to get near an Occupy crowd.

Sure, but I'll take rotting garbage and bus fumes any day over 10,000 unwashed hippies.

and the familiar smells of (*)(*)(*)(*) and (*)(*)(*)(*) that often waft your way when taking a stroll or catching a train, do you prefer them as well? Just saying most of the city wasn't a pleasant fragrance to begin with and I don't think anyone living there is putting "dirty hippy smell" at the top of their list of complaints.

Actually, the stench is at or near the top of the complaints of the hapless residents adjacent to Camp ANSWERnik:

Not trying to put NYC down. I love it for numerous reasons, however, smell would not be one of the positives in my opinion.

Where are our resident leftists, who were claiming that these people were veritable models of society?

This is a group of less than civilized people. They do stink, and they look like what they smell like.

I believe smell is covered under "sanitation." And I can tell you that the Seattle crowd stinks to high heaven -- and it's nowhere near as large as the Wall Street gathering.

I can't seem to find any complaints of similar nature in regards to the Tea Party.

That tells us this: Tea Partiers = much more civilized.
