In a move that will surpise NO ONE will more than an ounce of brainmatter, the Muslim Bortherhood is , somehow, LEADING BY A WIDE MARGIN as the elections on Egypt take place.

They are on track to easily take the MOST SEATS IN PARLIAMENT, despite the assurances of all the Middle East/Ilsamapologist "experts", both here and esewhere, that they could never take a majority of Parliament in Egypt.

Remember, those who smugly claimed to "be in the know" about the M iddle East, because they had lived everywhere in the world, or just because they are LEftninny numbskulls, who couldn't read the "writing on the wall" if it were ENGRAVED, assured us that, "at most, the islamists would take 20% of the seats".

IN addition, also NO SURPRISE to anyone besides the islamapologists and other numbskulls referred to above, the muslim brotherhood is WARNING EGYPTIANS TO ACCEPT THEIR TAKEOVER OF EGYPT:

    http://news.yahoo.com/egypt-islamists-tell-rivals-accept-vote-result-115130081.html

CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood has called on its rivals to accept the will of the people after a first-round vote set its party on course to take the most seats in the country's first freely elected parliament in six decades.

Early indications are that the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood leads and a more hardline Islamist group, the Salafi al-Nour Party, is in second place, with a liberal bloc third.

Rivals accused the Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party of handing out cheap food and medicine to influence voters and of breaking election rules by lobbying outside voting stations.

The Brotherhood told its critics to respect the result.

"We call upon everyone, and all those who associate themselves with democracy, to respect the will of the people and accept their choice," it said in a statement after the first-round vote, which drew an official turnout of 62 percent.

"Those who weren't successful ... should work hard to serve people to win their support next time," the Brotherhood said.

I wish that those of us who easily foresaw this, and the upcoming developments in Egypt, Libya, and elsewhere, had been WRONG about it; but, as the unfolding facts clearly appear to show... we were not.

Can't wait for the "Big Mid-East Expert " Leftninnies to show, telling us how this is a "good thing"...

From a PF islamapologist last week:

Well, we see what an "expert" that poster continues to prove to be...

I must have missed the warning.

    Oooooooooooo...ominous.

SLO= Standard Leftninny Obliviousness. What the Muslim Brotherhood says to the PRESS, and what they say FACE-TO-FACE with any opposition, as anyone with more than a cubic centimeter of brain mass knows, are VERY DIFFERENT things.

Feel free to continue pretending that our FORMER ALLIES in the Mideast aren't now becoming islamist theocracies, one-by-one.

Leftninnies; go apoplectic over "...one nation, under God..." in the US pledge of allegiance, any opinion(s) opposing the Gay Guevara social/political agenda, then , in the same breath, have NO PROBLEM with islamic theocracies, which are ALWAYS pro-terror, highly intolerant of dissent, womens' rights, and gays.

Friggin Pretzelheads, I swear...nothing in the Leftninny worldview makes any sense whatsoever...

They were standing in front of the polling booths, intimidating voters. Of course they won.

Wow -- thanks for the link.

    I especially liked this part:

"…the Bible predicts that at the appointed time, a King of the North and a King of the South with rise. Various statements that Barack Obama has made suggest that he will implement policies that will likely help lead to the multi-national formations that will ultimately have these kings."

Why do you bring up that and ignore the terrorist ties of the brotherhood and the fact that Obama supports them.

I can't believe that you are layering the Scofield Heresy over ME events.

There won't be another Caliphate.. The Arabs don't want it... The last time the US "pudnits" got all worked up about predicting another Caliphate was 1952.. and they also predicted that Saudi Arabia would become a Communist State.

Perhaps the Egyptians, unlike the rest of us, may be allowed the Government they choose without half-witted interference from the heirs of Hitler?

    It means THIS:

Islamist parties have won 65 percent of votes for party list seats in the first round of parliamentary elections, according to official figures obtained by AFP on Sunday.

So much for the "secular domocratic" nature of the "arab spring", which is nothing more than an islamist takeover of our former allies....

So much for your self-declared "expertise" into Egypt, and the rest of the Mideast.
Your Great Insight declared that islamists would take 20% of the vote= WRONG AGAIN...as always.

And,please, spare us the CYA bullcrap about how "moderate" the muslim brotherhood is, and how "sharia is not such a bad thing".

What your posts about the Mideast pretend to know would fill the oceans; what they ACTUALLY KNOW, wouldn't fill a thimble.

Care to make some more ridiculous "predictions" , based on ignorance?

How about SO WHAT.. The Egyptians have the right to choose whatever sort of government they like.. and Obama has NOTHING to do with it.

I never said anything about 20%.. Lies don't help your case.

It looks like what will be sprouting up all over the Middle East and North Africa in the aftermath of the so-called Arab Spring are not jasmines but thistles and thorns which the US and its Western allies find prickly to their touch.

The West has its fingers pricked!

As the proverb goes for the West, "As you sow (thistles and thorns, not jasmines), so shall you reap."

What to do now? You (the West) have asked for it.

Amazing how you completely IGNORE the coming effects of islamist dictatorships on the people LIVING UNDER THEM; remember the Iranian People, trying to obtain Freedom, just two years ago,and the "great tolerance" shown them by the islamists in charge there?

You are cheerleading the brutal enslavements of millions of people, and the blatant abuse of womens' rights, and dissidents, and the open persecution of non-muslims, gays, etc., which is where the mideast is DEVOLVING to, as you gleefully cheer it on.

IN 1953 Eisenhower met with Muslim Brotherhood leaders at Princeton to use them as a bulwark against Communism and the USSR.

The Bush administration devised a strategy to establish close relations with Muslim groups in Europe that were ideologically close to the Brotherhood, as a way of dealing with more radical groups, such as the home-grown extremists in Paris, London and Hamburg.
