Indeed. Justifying abortion on the ground of the dependence of a fetus is not a good argument at all, and I say it as a pro-choice. Why should being dependent on others deprive you of your rights?
Its OK to force people to take care of their children if no other option to provide the care exists.

    The article you cited stated:

NOT 'Hormonal Birth Control'...you just made that up, Mak. Tsk, tsk.

And nowhere in the article did they state where they came up with their incredible figures! What pure, unadulterated crap! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

And the pro-aborts gave me grief over my posting of published, scientifically proven studies!

    What hypocrites!

"Zef" is a made-up abortionist term used to dehumanize the unborn baby. No medical person would EVER use that term, and you will not find it in any medical dictionary.

And caring for children is required by law. Surely even you have heard of penalties for parents who negect their children...

Zef is an acronyn, it's the age of acronyms, get used to it. There's nothing dehumanizing about the term, it's just not as emotionally wrenching as "wittle-bitty baby."

Once again, ADOPTION. It's true that parents cannot retain custody and then abuse or neglect children, but they can resign custody. They are not required to care for children, and women should not be required to care for zefs.

Could have been from another link I was looking at to decide which one would be best posted. Sorry about that. But the point it, Catholic women use birth control - and lets not forget that pro life groups don't tell us how they come up with their statistics, either...

'Zef' is simply a shortened version of the stages a 'baby' goes through in the womb. Zygote, embryo, fetus. Rather than saying those terms, it is simply shortened too refer to every developmental stage, which is not intended to dehumanise at all.

'HOPE' is simply a shortened version of what exactly the thing is growing inside a woman's body. Human, Organism, Preborn, Entity.

So...you don't have a problem calling that thing growing in a woman HOPE?

No, they cannot resign custody. They can voluntarily exchange custody with someone, provided that he is capable of taking care of the child. The correct analogy would be a pregnant woman exchanging a fetus with another woman, not aborting it.

Once in custody, they are REQUIRED to take care of the children by law, or even pay child support money if not in custody. Taking care of children is not a voluntary act, but an OBLIGATION of the parents or custodians.

Parents can relinquish custody, the state will assume custody. While a child IS in your custody, you must provide care for it, but you can give up custody anytime you wish.

And charge them with child abandonment or neglect.

False. And your link talks about adoption, which as I have shown is not a correct analogy to use, and also requires another willing and capable party.

Parents have a LEGAL OBLIGATION to take care of their children.

Your claim that Catholic women are using "a pill that has the potential to kill a 'baby'".

Yes, and that is true. Only if conception has occured will the pill 'kill' the 'baby'.

I asked for substantiation, and that's not what this is. Specifically which birth control pill does that, and what evidence do you have that 98% of Catholic women use it?

You didn't notice the commas I used? 'Baby' does not mean a baby.

The regular pill, obviously. What other kind of pill is there?

The facts are shown on various websites, just google.

I don't know, and I doubt you do either.
IOW, you refuse to substantiate your claim, which as far as I'm concerned makes it bogus until proven otherwise.
