I'm sure it was since it was just dinner invite and a person can also find platonic relationships on eHarmony also. A friends SIL has a couple of times......
Also Hummingbird, I had taken note of your location prior to the invit and did not find this fact inhibiting to dinner plans.
Oh dear. I apologize. I wasn't implying that, Felix. I just happened to think of eHarmony and ...... never mind. Now I feel really bad..... It's called 'Open mouth, insert foot'....... I hope you have a great New Year!
One of my New Year's resolutions is to have Felix buy me dinner sometime in 2012. I'm a vegetarian, but I love steak!
Would you knock it off? All I know about eHarmony is what a friend's SIL told me about meeting a couple of very nice guys......... also, I was joking around w/Felix and I hope he knows that - I wasn't intentionally insulting him and if I had, I had apologized......
I'm a licensed private pilot with access to a Cessna 172. I'm instrument rated, so weathers not an issue. Assuming Felix is cool with flying in a small plane, I'm more than happy to fly Felix out to Oregon or whereever you live for the price of the fuel and a nominal fee for my per diem. I'm rooting for you two kids. Call me a hopeless romantic. Ok I'm kidding Hummingbird, you can't be too careful these days...I'm confused why someone would ask someone out who they have never met, never seen and don't know the first thing about. On a political message board no less. Maybe Felix is just bored and the invitation was in jest
Well, you've got the 'l'. 's' is male. Will that be a problem? Can I invite my wife? She also likes steak.
That sounds like an acceptable compromise. She seems like a nice person. As for the not knowing people stuff, I suppose I simply do not live within the constraints of what most would consider safe.
Political forum, yes - but this is the 'chit-chat' section......... This whole thing is getting to funny....... You're a pilot? Had 2 brothers in the USAF - one was a jet pilot and the other was a flight instructor....... One time I visited the pilot bro at his AFB for several days - very interesting..........
I need to lose weight... lots of it. Darned quit smoking resolution of two years back has chubbied me up too much.
I was a pilot in the Air Force. 1986 - 1996 (active duty) T-39 FAIP C-21 C-130H 1997 - 2006 (Air Force Reserves) C-130H2 I no longer fly for a living, but I maintain a private pilot's license and I'm 1/3rd owner of a Cessna 172R. Say hi to your to your Air Force brothers from another zipper suit.
I'd love to tell them that, but they're both gone now.... Height is one of my biggest fears - one time my hunny made dinner reservations in the Space Ship (Needle) in Seattle. What an awful experience, so he got me back down to earth - then he wanted to know why I love to fly - "35,000 ft up there!" as he pointed up at the sky. I says "That's different!" .... I don't remember who won the argument. I do love flying, but can't handle being way up high in a building ... just one of my quirks, I guess..... So you were another AF dude - good for you. The AF and the MC, I've always been partial too. I'm gone - 10 o'clock and some neighbors expect me to show up for a little New Years welcome ....
Hah! Good luck with that one. That is close to my resolution to punch everyone who tells me I need to pay more taxes because they need their welfare check. I wished it was legal to shoot these bastards instead.
She has already succeeded, I spoke with her yesterday and she seems like a better person. CHECKMATE. THE WISE ONE HAS SPOKEN
Every year I make one resolution that I know I will keep. And that one is to break any other resolutions that I might make
