While we are busy violating the first amendment, we might as well pass an anti-Muslim hatred act too since there seems to be enough of such floating around, unless congress can prove that anti-Semitism is not religious and only applies to Semites (which appears to be the case as defined in the First Amendment!)

 

You're confusing the Establishment and Free Exercise Clauses of the First Amendment to the Constitution.

There can be no action "establishing" any faith. For example, there can't be prayer in public schools.

Yet, the free exercise of religion doesn't proscribe all intercourse between govt. and religion in ways in which govt. and citizens interact customarily. For example, govt. scholarships can be used at Catholic colleges to same extent they can be used at secular institutions.

Islam is both a religion and a political ideology fused together. A faithful Muslim cannot accept the Establishment Clause's separation of church and state because he or she believes that govt. must be operated according to the laws of Allah.

 

That is quite untrue.

Muslims are instructed to live under the law wherever they live.. and if they find it too onerous, they are to leave.
