LOL, no you can't. You can discourage, but in no way you can prevent 100%, 90%, or even 50% unless you want the USA to become North Korea, aka a dictatorship or our economy really tanks, worse than 2007 to 2009. The US cannot prevent someone from Country X to travel to our borders. Nor can we prevent them from applying for whatever humanitarian immigration visa they want to apply, whether at the POE or sneaking across the border.

False. An illegal working is not inherently a benefit. That is objectively not true.

They may not pay all taxes they are supposed to. THere are ways around it. THey drive down market value as well which is a massive issue that is not to be understand. That alone, could overwhelm any benefit they provide.

And you are projecting. For contractors, you clearly dont know the business very well at all. Not every contractor is paying others, some of them are selling their labor. Some contractors actually take jobs, and pay others (as well as them selves) to complete it. Others just contract their labor to the one who took the job...and they get paid less because of the issue of illegals driving down the price of labor. Astounding you didnt know that...but not really.

In the absence of illegals, contractors would get paid more. Thats objectively true.

LOL, no. We don't have open borders. No one is slicing hairs here. Either you understand or you don't. There is no in between here. We have controlled borders, although in some cases not very efficient. Second, I never call anyone the R word. Your actions may dictate that, but I won't say it. Remember, even the most die-hard Nazis in WW2 never called themselves the R word. What they did however was inexcusable and even the most Die Hard Nazis were damn proud of it. Some committed suicide, some went to Russia to start the East German Army, and escaped to Argentina and elsewhere, and some were tried and sentenced ranging from prison to execution. So the question is which one is you here in comparison similar to Nazis?

Since you are either not reading very well or you are ignorant of the whole immigration system and the problems therein: here is my position:
    1. A majority of the illegal immigration problems we are seeing involve our broken-down legal immigration system. Fix the legal immigration system, make it less draconian, make it less expensive, and make it more efficient for both nonimmigrant and immigrant visas for family reunification, work, and humanitarian efforts. We live in a complex world, and although the laws may be complex, the paperwork and process shouldn't be complicated, more complicated than filling out a ******n tax return. But that is not an open border, that is a controlled border. A closed border means no immigration whatsoever, legal and illegal, and cannot be one or the other. This false identity is another problem within the GOP by people who don't know what the hell they are talking about, hands down.
    2. We need to engage with our Southern Neighbors and help improve their economies while helping ourselves. It should not be giving them fish, it should be teaching them to fish, figuratively speaking. This too will help with illegal immigration.
    3. The Federal government is not shipping illegals to other cities. If a person is in the custody of ICE or CBP, then it is transferred from one detention center to the next. Now, if they are released later, then that too follows the law under advanced parole. Don't like, change the law per Congress with a pair of cajones you might want to produce every once in a while;
    4. Yes, the Biden Administration has recognized there is a problem. They have always done that. But they have used different methods that are more based on law than revenge or fear. Also remember, a Republican house and Demcratic Senate got rid of the Covid protocols in 2022, which by law, got rid of the Title 42 to deport aliens who were no innocalated for Covid. Ironic that the GOP wants freedom of innocalation for USC but not for those who are entering the country. Another hypocrisy argument by the GOP and the rules for thee and not for me argument. Furthermore, the Biden Administration is the one offering the compromise. You guys, the GOP, are the ones running away with a yellow streak as wide as the Montana sky and as deep as the San Andreas fault showing your absolute hypocrisy and faux outrage. You guys don't want to solve the problem, you just want to pretend to solve the problem for political purposes. Hypocrisy at its finest by the GOP.
    5. the publicity stunt that Gov. Abbott is doing by transferring them to other cities, which forces other cities to pay for things they don't want to, does not discourage any illegal immigration. It encourages it. They are smarter than you will ever know, but then again, 10-year-old Chinese kids living in Hong Kong are smarter than you will acknowledge.

How so, they are contributing the to the economy, which is a benefit is it not? If they are paying any type of taxes, especially sales taxes, it is a benefit to the local economy, is it not? If they are taking jobs that no one wants, but need to be performed, that is a benefit is it not?

Yet despite our perceptions of what happened, perhaps different...there is ultimately a TRUTH about what happened. We may end up having different opinions or perceptions about what they truth was...but there is one objective truth. We may not even have the time or resources to discover what the actual truth was and may have to rely on perceptions of it. But that doesn't remove the fact there is a truth that exists, that is independent of your recollection or mine in this example.

So there is no such thing as your truth or my truth. There is simply THE truth and our perceptions of it. Like I said originally.

Contributing to the economy in a negative way. Driving down wages definitely matters to those who are having their wages driven down.

There are no such things as jobs no one wants. There is just pay no one wants. Pay arbitrarily kept down by illegals.

LOL, it is no myth. At the end of the day, manual labor is needed. This cannot be solved by the robot or any other technology because that is too expensive for most average farmers, households, businesses, etc. Ever been to a restaurant where there were no busboys and tables didn't get cleaned quickly enough? How much you won't stick around very long if there are plenty of tables, but none are cleaned? You wouldn't stick around very long and find another restaurant because the restaurant appears not to be clean. Those busboys in mom-and-pop restaurants will close quickly if they are not able to turn tables around quickly enough, especially during lunch and/or dinner rush hours. As the CATO Institute explains, "The so-called displacement effect, which is the term for when immigrant workers push native‐born American workers out of the labor market, is rarely ever even observed in practice and always very small when it is detected." Additionally, Florida agricultural growers can't find workers to do the work, complain too much, want higher wages, want more breaks, longer lunches, or just quit at midday. This is creating produce shortages and many farmers are not thinking of selling to real estate investment firms instead of growing the crops. It will cause food inflation again, all based on the Floridian law that DeSantis wanted.

That really does not make sense. If I contribute to the economy by buying stuff, going out to restaurants, etc, how in the hell is that negative, economically speaking?

Additionally, under law of supply and demand, wages are based on the supply of labor. If you increase pay at the lower end, then that raises inflation on food and other items as well. Do you want inflation or not?

What you are arguing here mook is like this: YOu want the highest wages but low price while expecting a 20% net profit. It does not work that way at all.

IT makes perfect sense, your inability or refusal to understand that is not my fault. Driving down wages for Americans is not a good thing. It matters to those whom have their wages brought down. Thats absolutely a negative.

Your assumption is that a rise in pay for Americans would increase inflation beyond their pay. Which isnt logical.

IF thats the case we may as well flood all areas of our market, not just the unskilled market and lower the pay for everyone lol. It fights inflation amirite?

Dont answer that lol...because the logical answer is no.

Which is the report generally speaking that I was referring to. As long as the report in and of itself is not biased, then the truth is revealed eventually. But if the report is based all on perceptions, preconditions, assumptions, etc, then the report will be biased as well. And that's our problem, we have too many opinions disguised as truth. We do know truthfully that Joe Biden won the 2020 election. We know this because 4 Arizona audits confirmed that, one Georgia Audit confirmed that, one state indictment on RICO charges, the audio recordings, etc of creating fake electors, and the 63 lawsuits that Trump et al lost in court confirm this. No matter how you slice it, Biden won 2020 just as Trump won 2016. Accepting the Truth is what is needed and many in your party refuse to accept the truth, the absolute truth, unfortunately. Thus, what you said originally wasn't the truth, the absolute truth, it was opinion. YOu just don't recognize it as an opinion.

Economically no it does not. No logical sense whatsoever. If one is working, again, how is one negative for the economy? Are you working? if you are, how are you a negative to the economy? If a person is working and renting an apartment or a room, how are they a negative to the economy?

Now you may get confused with services the government provides. Whether a person is an illegal, legal, or USC, renting an apartment, and their kids are such that they only go to public school, then the public school expenditures are a negative to the economy generally. But that applies to all, not just illegals. Government services is separate from the economic benefits provided by one is working.

False, the truth is almost never revealed. We come to our best conclusions on the evidence we have available and the tools we have available.

But the truth is seperate from the perception of the truth. I'm not sure you even kept up with the argument you jumped in to as you dont seem to be arguing against me as much as making a completely seperate point and unrelated point.

And no we dont know truthfully that Brandon won the election. Thats simply the best conclusion we can come to right now.

Again, you are on a completely unrelated tangent, and not even correct about it either lol. It is the democrat party, more than anyone whom have removed truth from their desire.

Economically, yes it does. It makes perfect logical sense. If one is driving down wages for Americans, and isn't even American, this is not good for Americans. This is exactly how you can be a negative to the economy. I explained that already. And again, that matters to Americans whom are having their wages driven down. Your assertion that Americans having higher wages would cause inflation to outpace their wages and that illegals are preventing that from happening was absurd on its face.

You are projecting, the only one who seems confused is you.

Not all wages are being driven down here. There is some effect of minimum wages being driven down by illegals, but you need to understand what minimum wage is used for.

The minimum wage is another complex issue. We know that about 40% of all minimum wage earners are adults with a family or small children. We also know that given how high the cost to live, whether in an apartment or a traditional home, a minimum wage will not suffice, much less cover the costs of childcare, food, and other necessities. This is why they may have more than one job at a minimum wage, which is also common, especially among young workers from 18-25 who have either no HS diploma or just an HS diploma or its equivalent, GED. But if these wages increase, and the types of jobs they primarily employ at or below minimum wage, then we also know that causes inflation as well, especially at the food service industry level. In other words, it becomes more expensive to eat. But these wages also do not affect rising housing costs, especially among traditional homes, or any other aspect of the economy where inflation is concerned. But keeping minimum wages down is also a net benefit since it helps keep inflation down. Inflation is the grand, slow constricting killer of the economy in the long run,.

Many are, and that is absolutely a negative thing. Its not the MINIMUM wage I am referencing. I understand it already, that is an element you are throwing in randomly and it isn't at all relevant to the conversation. Objectively speaking, illegal immigrants are driving down wages. That isn't up for reasonable debate...its an objective fact. Not every wage they drive down is the minimum wage either...(still wild you even brought that up lmao).

So again, if you fall in the group of people whom are having their wages arbitrarily held back then that matters to you. This is relevant, this matters, this is a negative thing.

Most contractors aren't minimum wage either..infact almost none are unless they are choosing to work very part time. Lmao..minimum wage.

What silliness. Border security wont turn us into North Korea. And people can be free to travel to our border, they are simply prevented from crossing our border without proper documentation. It occurs everyday. Just as 1000s LEGALLY cross our border everyday.

But it is not because of illegals, it is because of how our economy works. Texas just passed a huge property tax relief bill, yet, landlords are continuing to raise rental rates as we speak. The "trickle-down effect" that many conservatives thought would happen for renters is not going to happen at all. Meanwhile, housing prices are beginning to stabilize in some parts of the state while Texas continues to get people moving from all over, including illegals. Food prices are also stabilizing somewhat, but we import a lot of food. However, given the publicity stunts by Gov. Abbott, trucks are now going through Arizona and/or New Mexico to get here, which is raising wholesale prices for that extended transportation which is passed down to the consumer at the grocery store. Keep in mind these trucks that have produce and other goods are all stopped at the border, inspected, their laden bills are inspected and verified, and so forth. CBP does more than just not allow illegals, they inspect any packages that are being shipped intenerationally to or from the US whether by plane or automobile. We have stopped the commercial train service from Mexico to the US since the Trump Administration and placed more tariffs on goods being imported into the country. All of that is contributing to the higher prices as well. And that has nothing to do with illegals.

But if there were no illegals, who would do the jobs. Certainly not Americans or even most legal immigrants that Trump and conservatives want. That is why we need the blue card for those workers, especially the illegals who are coming here to work but don't have an employer to sponsor them. They do have the grapevine network in which they know where the jobs are and are willing to hire them.

If you want to reduce illegal immigration at the border, then pass the Blue Card Bill or a comprehensive legal immigration reform bill that is not based on the political arguments Trump is trying to make. But stop using the fear-mongering arguments that are purely BS that they are here for "free stuff" or they are bringing in drugs at every chance they take.

We have border security. We have people who are caught and deported. We have people who show up at the POE and apply for asylum which CBP cannot deny. They may be initially inadmissable, but under the law, they can have advanced parole as their process goes through USCIS. This will take some 3 years. This is the same as if a Visa waiver alien flies into La Guardia, presents the passport and reason for staying in the US. They can have a maximum of 90 days, but most will have 60 days to stay without a visa. But what happens if the alien overstays and overstays for years? What then? They become inadmissible under the law. But they are not criminal aliens, are they? Visa overstayers are the largest group among all illegals, and yet you think it is those who are applying for asylum or refugee status, which is a legal process BTW. That visa waiver alien can do the same. That is what the Romeike came here initially, but you don't hear anyone talking about them staying in Mexico while their case moves through the courts, did you? Yet many conservatives, when we had this discussion, defended them to begin with in one way or the other even though they didn't meet the rules of asylum or refugee status, didn't they? See the hypocrisy here.

Did you just read the headline or did you read the entire article. It says it was underaged children being flown to NYC. Underage children, ages under 18, are under a totally different set of rules than migrants are and are in the custody generally of government much the same way that federal prisoners are flown all over the US. Even Chauvin is going to be transported this way, One reason why they are being flown to NYC is because there may be relatives living in NYC that would take them in while the underage child's petition is being processed. The relatives that take them in may formalize an international adoption or become guardians of the minors. But minors are not migrants.

For unaccompanied minors Joh, you may want to look at the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008. This along with some court provisions which the United States have legal provisions to protect minor children from human trafficking and other humanitarian efforts.

But for migrants, those are mostly being shipped by Texas and to some extent by Florida via Texas. Technically, this is human trafficking by a state who has no authorization to do so, uses coercision to get them to agree, and will eventually allow free rides to other places that also encourage illegal immigration.
