Now I’m an Army brat. My dad served for 21 years in our infantry and then artillery….Korea, Indonesian Confrontation, Vietnam.

In two of those theatres, he served alongside US units. His view…? Despite the massive criticism that the US (and it’s allies like us) received for going there (Vietnam), he believed that “you don’t put s**t” on any soldier who is prepared to pull on a uniform and pick up a rifle in service of their country. So I never heard him say a critical word about the US troops that he worked with. I have no idea what his private thoughts were…
