Finally both Britain and the United States governments are officially calling the Communist Chinese and their cooked statistics filthy lies. We have known for more than a month now that the Chinese lied to the WHO about how bad the virus outbreak was in China. This, mind you, while the Left's leadership inside the United States and their politically suborned media outlets went to the wall to defend the Communist Chinese from truth tellers. Well the British government has finally gotten around to saying the equivalent of, "Enough is forking well enough!" in regards to cooked Chinese government statistics.

I wonder.... given the orthodoxy of the NDP and their litigious nature, why don't they simply offer up a bill in the House that would remove the CCP and China from protection under sovereign immunity?? I mean, it would make their lawyer base the most money ever if China were to lose the class action for their liability in the number of world wide deaths outside of China that they clearly allowed to happen.....

Probably makes sense... I find it hard to believe China's 5.5 mortality rate is below the USA's 5.7, although they do have massively more population to defuse that number...

OTOH, they shut that sucker down in full, as only authoritarian governments can do...

Because if it were just about the money then the Left's leadership would not have had their MSM deliberately stampede the citizens of the United States into demanding an across the board economic shut down and lockdowns since a deliberately crashed and burned economy hurts middle class and wealthy liberals just as much as it does the poor liberal. It was ALWAYS about politics and the politics of exerting CONTROL over the populace while blaming Trump for what they demanded be done. They actually do seem to have a fair amount in common with the Communist Chinese . . . don't they?

 

I believe you're right here. But golly, how can greed and lawyers be separated from such an opportunity?? I mean, we're talking settlements and fees that could allow lawyers the wealth to buy whole nations....

 

One would think, but on the other hand we are also talking about the Communist Chinese government here; which is capable to telling our lawyers and courts systems to "fork off!" regardless of what our Legislative Branch might decide to do. It's one of the perks of being a real nuclear power and controlling most of the world's technological production market.

You know, what is really sad is that if you ask the google how many Chinese cities are on lock down, the most recent result is like from early Feb. And even though China continues to lock down cities, the Google can't find any news items about this. Gosh... the irony....

It quit and then went back when China offered them more money. They may have quit again, though; but if so, it certainly wouldn't have been over a sudden fit of ethics.

I agree that Trump screwed up. He allowed the leftist-loyal fear mongering MSM -- under the political control and marching orders of the DNC -- to panic the nation into shutting down. He definitely dropped the ball there. Fortunately he's got about half a year to get the national economy up and running again before the presidential election. For someone anti-business like Obama it would be hopeless, but for someone pro-business like Trump it should be relatively simple.
