hmm i haven't seen US close its border for OUTGOING traveler, is that mean its the same as china not close their external borders?. i mean ASIA are now afraid of import case, so i wont blame them if they close their border for incoming traveler from US/EU, yet none of them close the border, just have to do the mandatory quarantine. also when looking at number between east asia vs west, east asia is much lower because they do alot test/contact tracing/alot lockdown and wear mask early on compare to Trump calling it FLU for 2 month before the lockdown.

Finally both Britain and the United States governments are officially calling the Communist Chinese and their cooked statistics filthy lies. We have known for more than a month now that the Chinese lied to the WHO about how bad the virus outbreak was in China. This, mind you, while the Left's leadership inside the United States and their politically suborned media outlets went to the wall to defend the Communist Chinese from truth tellers. Well the British government has finally gotten around to saying the equivalent of, "Enough is forking well enough!" in regards to cooked Chinese government statistics.

asia time its own by hongkong, those statistic is at other news outlet as well, for example South Korea/taiwan has really low death rate, same with singapore/HK.
but just looking at how UK and US act, Trump call it FLU for over 2 month before act on it, UK was same, it was doing herd immunity initially till death rate sky rocket. compare to SK/Taiwan/china/singapore, they all lockdown very fast, do alot contact tracing + alot testing early on, everybody wear masks. thats the reason east asia overall has lower death rate, cause they been through SARS and MERS before, so they were more prepared than others.
china may screw up in dec but trump delay it by two month, look at most east asia nation, none did bad as US/UK or italy. SK had its 1st cov19 case on the same day as US. but look at their death rate / 100,000 pop. though i think china rate is higher but its not significant higher as many claimed. mainly because they basically lockdown 60million, no one in or out, plus they use their vast state surveillance network to track down everyone and do the contact trace, not possible here in US due to laws etc.

Far from being innocent victims of Mother Nature, the CCP was plotting to maximize its own advantages at the expense of everyone else on the planet. The latest report from the Department of Homeland Security indicates the Chinese were lying about the virus initially and hiding critical information about it from the rest of the world. They used the delay to begin rapidly stockpiling vital medical supplies for their own use before there was a run on the market. (Associated Press)

Intentional deception taking place. China knew that they had a viral outbreak taking place in early December, if not sooner. But they first informed the WHO that there had been an “outbreak” on December 31st. They waited until January 3rd to tell the CDC. And it wasn’t until January 8th that they announced they had identified the contagion as a new coronavirus. All the while, they were ramping up their planet-wide purchases of medical equipment.

People were being infected and flying back and forth from China to the United States well before Christmas. Because of China's lies and deception, the bug was already in our country long before we even knew there was a problem.

We outsourced far too much control of the global supply chain to a Lying Outlaw country that can’t be trusted with that sort of power. The CCP is a bad actor on the world stage. As the Hong Kong protesters told us: DON'T TRUST CHINA. CHINA IS ASHOLE.
