the disturbing part of this story from the Seattle area is that it took 52 minutes for police to arrive. Yes, it is true that the Kent police force has bee under attack from leftist activists. I fully support the rights of folks to protest and make demands no matter how outrageous.

I know someone who almost bled to death after being stabbed because the police got there in a few minutes and refused to transport or let anybody else transport the person for the 40 more minutes it took the ambulance to get there even though the hospital was only a little more than a mile away. Weird crap happens. In that case, he got a huge settlement because the police officers actively obstructed people who were trying to transport him themselves it was taking so long.

 

They need more police but many across America are quitting with all of the hate they are getting.

good cops need to protect us from bad cops, bad cops are criminals, just like any other citizen that commits a crime, if they see a cop committing a crime, arrest them - that would go a long way to improving their image

Around 2010 in Detroit this was common place. Many times cops didn’t show until the next day........to fill out the police report. Many people died, got assaulted, raped cause cops didn’t show. Department was pure crap run by liberal Dems.
Finally, the new chief of police James Craig arrived and when asked what the citizens of Detroit should do he said buy guns to protect themselves. I’ll be dammed, The liberal bastion of Detroit hired a conservative.

I hear that when you constantly riot and assault the police with fireworks, Molotov's, piss, milkshakes for almost a year. Calling them all racists and bigots and every other bad label while at the same time wanting to cut their funding and powers to try and do their jobs safely really incentivizes the best of the best to want to become police officers and do their jobs well.

So I'm told.

 

I've been told that police has applies a lot of brute and unnecessary force and can't explain why this is applied to black people that often. It goes under the label of police brutality and systemic racism. And them civil servants reaction to that, is denial and more acquiring more military graded equipment to be more brutal.

Have you ever looked into it that the more military graded equipment the police buys, that the more violent it becomes while not doing their jobs better?
Have you ever looked up if driving while black, for instance, is not just a joke, but actually a true theme that cops do.... ALL the time in the entire country?

It's not that cops are ignoring urgent calls, it's just that they're demoralized, demonized and harassed to the point that they are simply quitting, retiring or not even showing up for work.
A friend of mine who lives in Richmond VA has a neighbor who is a city cop and he claims that out of 13 officers assigned to that precinct, only 2 - 3 show up for work.

Meanwhile the clown show that is Richmond's city government is too busy wasting valuable time and money tearing down statues of long dead White men and forming do-nothing committees of unemployable, self appointed Blacktavists to change street names that they're too busy to ensure that streets are repaired and that there is some semblance of safety for the city's residents.

The message is clear. When it comes to protecting yourself from thugs & killers, you're on your own.

 

Oh sure, sure. It does suck majorly when the vid after vid after vid shows how your colleagues are indeed policing brutality and that statistics show that racism is institutionalized in the field of your work.
