“How a Georgia Trump indictment would differ from the federal Jan. 6 case”

“Broader Case - The Justice Department’s indictment of Trump was narrowly focused on the former president, casting him as the ringleader of a far-reaching plot across federal and state governments. Willis has sent target letters to at least 17 individuals. And while federal prosecutors brought charges on four counts in its Jan. 6 case, Georgia law includes several statutes that could be used for charging numerous defendants.“

”Charges will differ - With charges expected to cover a greater number of defendants, the case is also likely to tap a wider number of statues than Trump’s federal case. Experts say Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) law could be an asset in bringing a case against Trump and several co-conspirators.”

“Transparency/B] - Federal courts by and large prohibit the photographing and broadcasting of judicial proceedings. The court in Fulton County is comfortable with televising proceedings. In fact, Judge Robert C.I. McBurney of the Fulton County, who has overseen matters tied to Georgia’s Trump investigation so far, has a YouTube channel where he televises his court’s proceedings.”

“No quick, easy out - In the two federal cases where Trump faces criminal charges, Trump might use a future presidential reelection to evade potential consequences. With Georgia, Trump can’t pardon himself, nor can he direct Fani Willis to dismiss charges”

Co conspirators, Rico law, televised on You Tube, and no pardons, hurdles Trump and his army of lawyers could have to face

What effect would such a live televised trial, which would have to rival the attention OJ’s received, have on Trump’s campaign? And to go further, on the country if Trump was elected in 2024 given he could not pardon himself if found guilty?

The effect it would have is a serious interference in the election. But, that's the whole point.

So then you are saying that all legal procedures approved by a Grand Jury should be forgotten and shelved during a Presidential campaign?

Not at all. The prosecutors involved in election interference should be charged and tried for their crimes.

So now you are extending it to say any judicial or legal entity that dares to proceed with any kind of charges against Trump should automatically be prosecuted for their efforts to uphold the law

Won’t even bother saying what that resembles

Not what I said. You know what it's called when you say things that aren't true?

What I said, is that any prosecutor propping up bogus charges to interfere with an election should be charged and prosecuted.

ok...if trump is found not guilty of election interference then the prosecutors should be jailed

so does this mean if trump is found guilty he should be jailed??

I guess the prosecutors better be sure they have an air tight case ..

Even if those supposed bogus charges were presented to a Grand Jury with all the evidence and the Grand Jury ruled to proceed?

And these have nothing to do with an election, the investigation into the possibility of a crime began long before Trump even declared he was running for office

    LMAO

Creating new crimes to protect your Orange Stain ? Forget about sovereign immunity ?
He doesn't have to run at all. It's a case of him running while being prosecuted , not being prosecuted while running.
I'd love to hear your spin if/when it's a Democrat running for office to avoid due process. Those would be some incredible pretzels !

The Fulton County DA posted the charges on their website and the grand jury hasn't even voted yet.

    Nothing shady about that... LMAO

If I ever get suspected of a crime, I’ll just run for office so they can’t hold me accountable.
That’s how you think it should work right? Are house republicans interfering by investigating Biden?
Have you put 2 seconds of thought into what you’re saying?

Or, can we charge Democrats with interfering with their bogus impeachment?

    What are the alternatives?
Charge him after he loses or let him win and then charge him and he pardons himself.

    What "crimes" are those?
Why is it that everyone but Trump commits "crimes"?

And yet Grand Jury's agree with them. Odd tactic on your part. All the boxes are checked and you insist they are breaking the law. Do you know what it's called when you say things that aren't true?

The current grand jury hasn't voted yet, so that's impossible...unless the grand jury is rigged.

If he loses, there won't be any point, because the ultimate goal is to keep him from getting elected.
