That's the Establishment Clause. There's nothing in the Constitution that says members of Congress can't take their religious beliefs into consideration when crafting laws.

If rape is immoral, why do you support a rapist?
If theft is immoral, why do you support a thief?
Yes, Trump was found liable by judge and jury for sexual assault.
Yes, the Trump corp was found guilty of fraud by a judge and jury.
No, you don't get to pretend that didn't happen.

But Johnson goes further than that.

So you think a crime has to be committed to breach moral codes? Bless your heart.

I didn't vote for Hillary it Biden.
    Liability isn't guilt
Wonder what we could find on Biden and the Ukraine?
    But you do.

It's kind of like being lectured about racism by a Klan member.

No, I'm saying that you're accusing Trump of crimes he's never been convicted of and civil trials don't have the same level of proof that a criminal trial has.

Trump was found liable of sexual assault in a civil trial based on one person's word.

You're another one who thinks a crime has to be committed to break a moral code.
**** that noise. Sexual assault is sexual assault.

You don't even know anything happened Jean Carroll might be lying, but of course, it's Trump, so one person's claim is all you need. You probably don't even need that...lol

Based on a judge and jury finding him liable - just like in any trial. You try and try to sidestep the morals you pretend to hold dear. Not buying it.

I need the decision of judge and jury of his peers - just as with any trial.

You claimed moral superiority. It is easy to prove that Trump supporters have no morals.

No - Trump has a 40 year history of lying and cheating on his wives - his lack of morals in the past make his claims suspect. The question is, why are accepting
the word of a known cheater and rake?

He wants, as I read it, government to favor religion. That’s unConstitutional.

But did it really happen? Democrats are notorious for lying about this. And not holding their party accountable when they do it. I seem to recall reading about Joe Biden's daughter's diary and him creeping on her when she was in the shower and seeing lots of videos of him groping little children

So act like you care only when it's politically advantageous even when it's not even determined to have happened I remember Kavanaugh too.

So you can't answer the question since it destroys any possible debate position?! Rhetorical.

Since more and more Americans are identifying as non-religious, this tactic sounds even more ignorant.
That’s the sort of bullshit the Taliban spout.
I doubt that any secular people are going to let some extremists turn America into a theocratic shithole.

But that is exactly what is happening with many of the social issues from Transgender, to LGBTQ to abortion, etc. And Mike Johnson's religious views along with the conservative religious movement of Lauren Boebert and others who think this "should be a Christian Nation" are the ones in power and fully want to implement this either at the state or federal level.

But the moment you put your religious beliefs into crafting the law, then you are violating the Establishment Clause as intended by the Founding Fathers. This is what you nor Mike Johnson either get or completely ignore. It is the same bloody, pun intended, thing here. YOu may want to look at abortion for instance and how the religious right, with Mike Johnson, want to make abortion in and of itself illegal with little to no exceptions whatsoever, nationwide. That is why they wanted the Roe v Wade decision overturned, and it happened. And if you look at the 13 states with abortion bans which have little to no exceptions whatsoever, you see that intent.

    Yes, they are immoral

The question is, "What makes them immoral?"
Is it simply because God said it's immoral? What would happen if tomorrow God said it was OK to kill non-believers? Would you go on a murder rampage of atheists? Or would you question the word of God?

    Yet

What happens when Trump IS found guilty? That, by definition, means that a crime was proven.
