A man won't work for his boss.

Lets talk about Holder and Lynch one of these days.

Only a clueless tyrant or his equally clueless devotee would claim that the Attorney General's "boss" is the President. Such a claim betrayed a worrying lack of understanding of civil service. The AG and Trump both work for us, the people, and the AG is not bound to the whims of a tyrannical jackass in the Oval Office.

The United States Attorney General (A.G.) is the head of the United States Department of Justice per 28 U.S.C. § 503, concerned with all legal affairs, and is the chief lawyer of the United States government. In cases of the federal death penalty, the power to seek the death penalty rests with the Attorney General.

Under the Appointments Clause of the Constitution, the Attorney General is nominated by the President and appointed with the advice and consent of the Senate. The Constitution provides that civil officers of the United States, which would include the Attorney General, may be impeached by Congress for treason, bribery, or "high crimes and misdemeanors".[3] The Attorney General may be removed at will by the President under the Supreme Court decision Myers v. United States, which found that the President may remove executive branch officials without the consent of the Senate or any other entity. The common law further suggests that the President has the power to remove an official engaged in purely executive functions or an official whose duties immediately affect the President's ability to fulfill his constitutional responsibilities, (Bowsher v. Synar, 1986).

Holder and Lynch were Obama's enforcers. We all see it.

What I see is that it looks like people are building themselves up for an imminent Trump impeachment etc.. Trouble is, it'll be quite a let down when your dream collapses.

I would hang fire with your excitement, you're missing two important things; a crime and evidence.

Wrong. The entire DOJ, FBI, and Attorney General are subordinates of the President of the United States.

Long ago we determined the absolute necessity for the doctrine that civilian political leadership has supremacy over our armed forces. The FBI is an armed force. The DOJ is an armed force.

Durandal, your construct removes civilian political leadership (representatives elected by the people) from the DOJ / FBI equation. It's both insanity and the creation of an unchecked power operating autonomously with no elected civilian executive control. It's the definition of tyranny.

The AG is nominated by the POTUS and ratified by the Senate.

He follows general direction from POTUS but serves the law first and foremost.

Yes, the executive branch ultimately reports to POTUS.
But - they do not owe him their primary loyalty. By law, their primary loyalty lies elsewhere. Their oath of office confirms it:

“I, AB, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

Omarosa Maginault Newman ordinarily would hliave no credibility at all.

A disgruntled former employee with an axe to grind is usually shunted aside and quickly forgotten.

Particularly when it is very obvious that her only objective is to get on cable TV news and sell books.

But Trump decided to elevate her by engaging in a Twitstorm with her. What manager gives credence to a disgruntled employee by engagning in a public feud with them? Not a competent one!

And of course, all she had to do was produce a couple of tapes to establish credibility.

    Trump can't fight that.

    He has no credibility anywhere.

Obviously you don't understand the role of the Attorney General any better than Trump does.

Your going to need to be more specific. The AG serves at the pleasure of the President, are you suggesting otherwise? The President's orders apply to the DOJ.

Trump believes that Sessions and his ilk serves for Trump's pleasure, not at his pleasure.

Only someone as clueless about American civics as are most leftists, would post such idiocy.
The ENTIRE DOJ is part of the PRESIDENT'S CABINET, and works at HIS PLEASURE.

Why do leftists NEVER KNOW **** ABOUT HOOW OUR GOVERNMENT ACTUALLY WORKS?

Same people who delude that UNELECTED BUREAUCRATS have AUTHORITY OVER the POTUS.
