Does anyone else see how ironic this is?

It’s appropriation unless it’s a minority trying to be white. Then it’s the fault of white people again. Whites just can’t catch a break.

I scanned the article and didn’t see anything about feelings.

All of this race and ethnicity stuff is a product of the government and society anyway. Most forms require me to state which "race/ethnicity" I am and they tend to get upset when I check "other" and put "American".

Sure I have dark skin, but I'm an American and so were my parents and grandparents and that is what I am. It's society and the government that is hell bent on putting a definitive label on me. I've spent much of my adult life in other nations for work. Nowhere but my own country does anybody call me anything other than simply "American".

That says a lot about us, perhaps we need to take a hard look in the mirror and realize what we've done to ourselves here.

exactly, it's more based on looks than anything else

if someones mom is white and their dad is black,

    but....

they look white, what race are they?

they look black, what race are they?

    what race are these twins?

race is really no different than eye color or hair color
