    We're supposed to be working together while promoting the rule of law.

    We claim to be an honest broker for peace.

    Instead, we promote the criminal acts of ethnic cleansing of one side against the other, while threatening the world over doing so.

    The US is the only Super Power acknowledging Israel’s claim. Why get involved in other folks business. Neither side is worth the hassle

    Actually its not totally accurate. For example, the US cannot place an embassy anywhere its wants in Russia or China.

    But that aside, because its a minor point. The point is that by recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moving the embassy there, the US is giving TACIT THOUGH NOT EXPLICIT support to the notion that Jerusalem belongs to Israel, in clear violation of international law and overwhelming international consensus.

    The point of the UN is conflict resolution.

    And, our ambassador to the UN thinks that is done by abandoning all rational argument and be an out and out bully.

    In fact, she even STATES that this is a personal issue!!! A PERSONAL ISSUE!!!

    Unbelievable. This administration can't even figure out how to get along with our allies.

    The US could have had its embassy in West Jerusalem in all but in title, and nobody would have bothered. Let me be the first one to tell you: the symbolism here is greater than the moving gesture in itself.

    Israel is a country.
    Jerusalem is it's capital.
    Palestine is not a country.
    Palestine wants to be a country and demands that Israel turn control of Jerusalem over to them.

    This is never going to happen, though they might split it, regardless Jerusalem is, always has been, and always will be, the capital of Israel. To deny any of these facts is simply a rejection of reality.
