    the word you are looking for would be "normal" thats the acceptable word that is not derogatory or offensive. Cis is a derogatory version of "normal"

    He clearly states that he thinks they're slurs. Subjective and objective reality do not always agree.
    Sine he acquired Twitter and is now losing staggering fortunes on it, I have no respect for him as a businessman. Why should I respect his grasp on English?

    In the context of what was going on though, he's not completely wrong.

    "cissy" is definitely intended to be a slur.

    You’re intentionally using the word cis as an insult. Why can’t you just call us normies which is short for normal?

    I'm guessing that if you called us normal it would offend everyone who isn't and suddenly words matter.......again.

    Us liberals couldn't resist using it with slurry intent the second we heard about it.

    That won't work at all. I'm a heterosexual but other than that I've never been accused of being normal. I heard there is a town in Illinois named Normal. I'm not sure where in Illinois Normal is though, and I'm up in Wisconsin, so this is probably as close to Normal as I'll get.

    I didn't think cis referred to sexual preference.

    I thought cis was only about gender.

    cis people can be gay.

    In the NYC area they’re referred to as ‘*****’ which is short for Hispanic and that’s considered a slur.

    Not the point. The point is that the term has no meaning. Calling someone something that doesn't exist could be considered a slur by some. I just view it woke and stupid.

    That has to do with sexuality. There are heterosexual people who are trans. There are cis people who are homosexual. Etc.

    The point made by Musk and apparently missed here...

    If using a gender-orientated term as an insult is a slur, and gender-oriented slurs are unacceptable for use on twitter, then it does not matter what that gender-oriented term may be.
