I thought this wasn't happening? The left keeps telling me it isn't. Maybe this is another "fake" news story? Maybe the school library was just TROLLING? what say you?

 

I agree that Gender Queer is probably not appropriate for a middle school audience.

Any articles with further details? Name of the school? I see it comes from The Blaze, but I can’t find an article beyond this video.

Looks like the recommended reader age is 13+. Probably not appropriate in a middle school all the same.

 

Why are you posting videos of a child reading pornographic smut? What's wrong with you! I wouldn't even watch such a video. Which is why I haven't.

 

I find asking me why I posted it instead of caring why it was in a school library in the first place to be a strange line of questioning. Is this an ignorance is bliss type of thing? Strange

And, the parent, eschewing the content of the book, uses language 'suck d*ck' to the board, and then goes onto a rant about masks.

It's ILLEGAL to have pornographic smut in schools. Child pornography is also illegal. You don't need to POST it to prove it exists. It exists! And if it exists, people responsible need to face legal consequences. Period!

So what's your excuse? You expect US to call the authorities? Have YOU reported this to them? Where are the references to the criminal charges?

 

It isn't technically porn though. it isn't like they had a VHS copy of Debbie Does Dallas in the library. Its a book with pornographic situations. I don't think they can get in legal trouble for that.

and I might post more, but hopefully not because hopefully we'll stop seeing news stories about this because hopefully it will STOP happening.

Parents shouldn't use their kids as political pawns.

This kid didn't accidentally check out this book from the library. I doubt he even knew it was there. His parents probably searched the library for any of the books they found listed on the blaze or somewhere, and then saw it, and decided to use their kid as a tool so they could get on TV.

None of us should have ever heard about a local school board meeting in bumfuk Maine. It's just parents looking for clout like a sad youtuber.

Its an erotic novel with explicit sex scenes. It isn't something that should be in a school library with 11 year olds. I'd even say this is fine in a high school library but in one with tiny children? NOT COOL
