I rode the red line, lived in Uptown for a number of years. Yeah, nobody ****ed with me, even in a rough neighborhood.

My point is that Chicago is a city, you have to have street smarts, but the entire city is not violent.

Nothing against your son or wife, but the perceptions of Chicago, and the reality are much different things.

From experience, Roger's Park and Edgewater are relatively safe.

Also interesting that black victim mentality expects other races to fix their cultural degradation, but no judging or statement of facts. Typical.

Nobody said all. What was said is that statistically, these cultural issues are more prevelant among the black community. Thats a fact sir.

Just more attempts to discredit rather than address the facts I provided. As discussed, the first step is admitting that the is cultural deficiencies that need to be resolved. It would appear that you are unwilling to accept these facts, or at a minimum dont like being reminded of them by a white guy. Your issues not mine.

You do realize that asians were enslaved, subjected to racism, even put into camps in the 1940's, and subjected to systematic bigotry, right?

This idea that blacks are the only race to be subjected to various levels of discrimination is false. They are however the only race that relies on those historical issues to excuse current day culutural degradation.

You don't want to admit that social issues exist in the black community that lead to much of the poverty, crime, etc.

Until blacks do this, there will be no resolution. Other races can't fix this, no matter how much of a vicitm blacks play, justified or otherwise.

You aren't ready.

Your "conclusions" have no bearing on what the Black community actually thinks, so they are pointless.

87% of blacks said the criminal justice system treats blacks less fairly. That is important because there is mistrust of a system that should be impartial. It is social alienation from an entire system of government authority.

Black adults are about five times as likely as whites to say they’ve been unfairly stopped by police because of their race or ethnicity.

72% of white officers say fatal encounters with blacks are isolated incidents and only 43% of black officers say that.

The complaint is they do not feel they are being fairly and impartially treated because of their race. There has been a very long history of that pattern and now there is increased impatience for things to change, if you haven't noticed. The right's answer to that is, well, quit living in poverty. The problem is it effects every black social class and they want it to change.

The NEIGHBORHOOD of Rogers Park has 54,000 inhabitants. The City of Chicago has 2.7 million inhabitants. The Chicago metropolitan area has just under 10 million people.

Murders occur in towns with 1000 people.

My point is that you should be shocked and ashamed of the violence in Chicago, and not blowing it off, and not downplaying it as "relatively safe".

Do you think I'm unaware of the horrific problem of black crime in Indianapolis? I work in a ghetto hospital in Indianapolis, and I see the the horror of it first hand.

We lost a great doctor to it.

I am absolutely shocked by the street violence in Indianapolis, and I'm ashamed of it, and I would never try to downplay it, or blow it off as "relatively safe".

The culture of recreational violence in Indianapolis' black community is horrible and shameful.
