You're bumping a thread comparing Romney to Obama?

You think if Romney was pres he'd be fighting for Obamacare? Kinda doubt it. He'd be fighting for that 20% tax cut for himself and the other 1%ers.

I doubt he'd be fighting to repeal it either. When did Romney say he supported a 20% tax cut for the 1%ers?

Governor Romney would permanently extend all the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts now scheduled to expire in 2013, repeal the AMT and certain tax provisions in the 2010 health reform legislation, and cut individual income tax rates by an additional 20 percent.

Amazing that you'd write a whole thread trying to claim Obama and Romney were the same and not have a clue as to their basic policies.

Most in the 1% are not the rich. The .001% are the rich. Thanks for your intellectual dishonesty.

The people elected to office generally reflect the people who voted for them; their agenda and policies generally lean toward where the people who brought them (these days, BOUGHT them) tend to lean.

It's never as simple as a set of specifics some would list (as in the OP), it is also the human elements mixed in to the workings of government.

In my view, the main reason that there are practical differences between politicians in the end, is because IF they are doing their jobs, tend to 'represent' those who elected them (at least to a reasonable degree). I mean, is there ANY doubt that the base that voted for Romney... is very different from the base which elected President Obama? (Indeed, there are MAJOR differences.)

That's a lot of work for a thread that will almost certainly degenerate into the typical partisan nonsense that predominates in the forum.
You deserve credit for the effort.

Where did I claim that Obama and Romney were the same? And what leads you to believe that I didn't have a clue as to their basic policies?

    One last similarity:

Neither one will run for President again.

This is why the GOP needs to be taken over by the Tea Party.

America needs a choice, not an echo.

You're bumping your thread on a Romney/Obama comparison?

I could have sworn the election was already over.

LOL, that is why you felt the need to bump your election thread?

What is there to respond to? This whole thread and others you've been trying to argue that the choice between Romney and Obama was irrelevant because they were essentially the same.

Or were pointing out similarities for some other purpose?
