Ethnic war erupted the day after 181 was voted and the Arabs were those who declared it, perhaps the Jews could have surrendered and live in a Muslim country - we just used our right to be indipendant.

Bill Clinton did everything he could to get Arafat to sign on for permanent peace, besides loaning him Monica. If failed because Arafat had no intention of committing the Palestinians to a permanent agreement that allowed for the peaceful existence of the Jewish state. Clinton might have other problems, but he pulled all the stops on trying to get this deal made, and it failed because of one man, Arafat.

Well ethnic cleansing is to remove a population because of among things their ethnicity. That is what the Jews did to 100.000's of civilians. What they did fits the definition. Your claim, it's "their land" as in land belonging to only the Jew, only supports my claim.

 

It failed because the Jews demanded that the West Bank must be split up in 3 area's where they get to control who passes from one area to an other. That and the right to enter Palestine with their army when they feel like it (so Palestinians would have no sovereignty), and rights to keep on draining the WB of water. The Jews demanded complete sovereignty over East Jerusalem, while its not part of Israel now because everybody says so. And the compensation of ethnic cleansing over 700.000 people would be only 30 billion that Israel would not fully pay themselves.

That's just a horrible deal.
