1. Sorry to disappoint..but I havnt watched Rush since the Iraq invasion over 10 yrs ago...so he either stole my 'material,' or the irony of the situation was overwhelming to all observing the ceremony.

2. Dont think God 'rejoiced' when Saddam used WMD's on the Kurds prior to our coming in and freeing them...

I don't know about OverDrive, but I have a problem with that because I'm a pacifist Christian. Thus whenever G.W. Bush and Co. mention God it gives me the creeps and a slight desire to vomit. "False prophets" and all that.

As a Christian pacifist would you fight or kill to save your life or the lives of your family? Or would you stand firm on you beliefs and allow others to kill you or your family. And...the thought of a "Christian Pacifist" as President and responsible for the security of this country makes me a little ill.

 

No. I don't. And if you took the Bible seriously you would see that is truth--truth in human nature, evil, the past and future. Only Jesus will bring the lambs and the Lions to peace. There will be a time when Satan's evil will be put away and peace can occur. Until then, there is a time for war, a time for peace. A time to protect your family from murderers. And a time to back off and move to another well.

Georgie said god TOLD him to go slaughter people in a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 but to make it appear to look like it did because the invasion of Iraq was planned for in 1997....Yup, Georgie said even though George Senior was even against the war Georgie Jr. said he had a different 'father" tell him to GO! The fact is that sexual promiscuity promotes adolescent pregnancies and fatherless kids who drop out of school and enter into crime and the cycle of pregnancy/poverty/welfare into the next generations.
