TFM - you will probably think I am crazy for suggesting this but I almost think it would be worthwhile for at least one state to ban abortion. This is for several reasons

    A) It will take the "wind out of the sails" of the more rabid anti-abortionists
    b) All the bandwagon people will jump ship - to mix a metaphor
    c) it will prove that legislation doesn't bloody work
and d) a lot of the "pro=lifers" will change tune when THEIR child is looking at a pregnancy at 14

BB, I have thought the same thing many times. Here is why I ultimately concluded that it is not a good idea.

I think the success would cause them to redouble their efforts in other states.

I think they will jump ship to the next state.

They will rationalize that abortion is too easily obtained in the next state. They will never accept that women will find a way.

This will only get them if they can't afford to travel. "Pro-lifers" always think their unwanted pregnancies are SPECIAL, so their daughters deserve abortions and other "dirty little sluts" deserve punishment.

    What do you think?

Right, the secret must be kept. Ever wonder why it never came out with such well informed advocates as you shouting, no screaming the truth? Here is a clue, people know the truth and ignore the drivel you and your ilk attempt to spread.

Reading comprehension problems persist for you , I see.
Education was not mentioned at all, this is as you said about the truth that is supposed to come out. I suspect as with most other things you post you meant you will pull it out of your...

I doubt it. We'll see a lot of young children being forced to have babies by their rabid religious parents who believe they know best.

That's one thing I never understood. A 14 year old girl is responsible enough to have a baby but she's apparently not responsible enough to have an abortion and needs her parents permission...but soon enough she'll be in charge of another human beings autonomy and their medical care and yet, she has no say in her own?

    I never could comprehend this...

No a man should keep his ***** in his pocket and not get the girl pregnant in the first place

Exactly. And if she's not mature enough to decide, can't her parents decide she DOES need an abortion and force her to have it?

Better than a parent encouraging and even demanding that their children commit homicides against their own offspring!

Nobody who has an abortion is "being responsible" unless the mother's life is in imminent danger~

Actually I could use that to show that a woman accepted the pregnancy by not keeping her legs together!
