Nope. You're talking about two different things. "Nicholas" wasn't anything but a body, there was nothing else there. It was cruel to bring him into this world.

    Let's see....what is MORALLY CORRECT?

During a doctor visit a woman's physician determines something drastically is wrong with the fetus developing in her womb.

She is sent to a specialist early on in the pregnancy and it is determined the fetus is improperly developing and will most likely be still born without a brain or perhaps just as in the case of Nicholas Coke....the fetus is brought to term and a child is born with only a brain stem and no higher brain function.

Let's make one thing clear....Nicholas Pope NEVER obtained sentience and existed as a CABBAGE....alive and responsive to certain stimulus but completely incapable of THINKING, BECOMING CONSCIOUS, BECOMING SENTIENT....and that fetus SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN BORN...and it should have been terminate via abortion as soon as possible.

The fact that what was living but still tortured as some kind of religious science experiment is SICKENING.

As usual you are drawing lines in the sand that have no relevance, what part of pro-choice do you fail to understand?

It should be the choice of the female whether she wishes to continue a pregnancy until birth REGARDLESS of the physical or mental condition of the fetus. If the mother of Nicholas was prepared to continue with her pregnancy knowing the likely outcome then that was her choice, just as it should be the choice for any female regardless. That is the difference between pro-choice and pro-life, pro-choice believe that the decision is solely the females. Pro-life, on the other hand, want to force her to accept other peoples decisions and are prepared to over rule her right to body autonomy in order to achieve that.

Even in early stages of pregnancy, fetuses have brain waves.

So? It can't feel pain until 24 weeks....so it may have the brain waves to do math or figure out the economy but nobody cares.

    Oh please...Jello has brain waves.

    http://io9.com/5946010/why-you-cant-prove-that-jello-is-legally-brain-dead

An electroencephalogram, or EEG, machine measures the tiny electric impulses that active neurons make in the brain. Different frequencies and patterns are normal for different levels of consciousness, and EEGs have been used to diagnose sleep disorders and seizure disorders, as well as to identify and track brain injuries and neurodegenerative diseases. They have also been used as one of the ways to determine whether or not unresponsive patients still have enough brain activity to qualify as alive. They were never used exclusively, which is good — because in 1974, Doctor Adrian Upton used them to demonstrate that gelatin could give off enough brain power to qualify as alive.

A BUG has Brain Waves!! LOL!!!

The fact remains I believe it to be a CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY to have allowed the CABBAGE that was named .Nicholas Pope to be born and so tortured.

There are MUCH worse things than DEATH.
