It is interesting that the people of Juarez, Mexico are afraid to travel across the border into El Paso because it is so dangerous in the U.S. More people are murdered in El Paso than in Juarez and the ones who are murdered in Mexico are hardcore criminals whereas in the U.S. anybody can be murdered by some mass shooter. There are too many guns in the U.S.

It is due to a myriad of reasons, such as courts in the united states being backlogged with other cases and prosecutors being encouraged to cut deals whenever possible just to try and clear up the docket. In other cases when the offenders are primarily members of a minority race, such as the black community, prosecution leads to perceived racism simply because there are not enough white individuals to balance the matter out. In other cases still, prosecutors see no incentive to invest the effort necessary in prosecuting someone who already has a felony conviction for drug or weapon charges.

It makes no difference to victims or families of victims what the ethnicity/immigration status of the murderer is, unless of course, you are a racist. Especially when immigrants are far less likely to commit violent crime than a US national.

They ignore that each of the places was a gun free zone where the law abiding victims were helpless since they'd complied with the law and the wishes of the property owners, and ignore that the fancy sign and the majesty of the law didn't do **** to stop anything.

Cities are no longer run properly especially in California .

I don't have a link to the story yet but one individual who was using Los Angeles as an example but he also mentioned San Franshithole, Detroit, Chicago pointing out that the mayors and city council members today are all politicians and mostly Democrats.

Where as there was a time when mayors and city council members were non politicians usually conservative Republicans or Democrats who were all business owners who had a real stake in the city and had no intentions seeking higher positions in the state legislature or in Congress or running for President.

The mayor and council members only concerns were what their constituents concerns were, good schools, safe neighborhoods and streets without potholes.

Cities aren't going to elect Republicans, but the officials of the cities aren't all that involved in the solutions to gun violence. They may have to suffer some heat by letting their police force go on the offensive, but cops are good at using tactics to minimize their risk, while removing guns from the streets.

 

Cops tried removing guns from the streets with "stop and frisk" tactics and the political left, ACLU, gang bangers Al Qaeda, ISIS and other street criminals yelled racism.

 

They go to where the easy targets are.

 

Why not? You'd think after 5+ decades of democrat inner city violence they would care by now.

 

So, you need a Mayor who doesn't care, one that will thank you for telling him something wasn't done properly, will say he's going to check into it and does nothing. Mayors like that aren't hard to find, most of the people working in government can handle that job.

 

Mayors, city councils and city managers shouldn't be micromanaging their police departments.

What they should do is leave politics out of law enforcement and hire police chiefs who are proactive instead as being PC and using progressive law enforcement by reacting after a crime has already been committed.

Prevent crime and keep the peace.

Profiling is good policing and when NYPD used "stop and frisk" tactics there was a big decrease of guns being used during the commision of crimes.
