Yeah, imagine how hard the enemy laughs at America for the president promoting and supporting feminine boys that like each other.

When was the last time you were forced to believe in God? Did 9 people vote 5/4 in favor of making you accept religion?

 

So you're saying a guy can get pregnant by another guy?

Maybe you should remove the full body mirror from in front of you so you can face reality and see that the real cry babies are trying to destroy and divide and just got special treatment marriage passed by an extremely narrow margin.

Also, I love equality. It's special treatment that I abhor.

 

Then why are you advocating for special treatment for hetrosexual couples?

 

That's a question you should be asking yourself. How did you people get through life between 2,000,000 years ago up to a decade and a half ago?

Heterosexual couples don't get special treatment. Before yall barely cried yourselves into a special treatment gay privileged "marriage," there was no law stating that a gay man couldn't marry a gay woman. Marriage is a unity between one man and one woman. Sexuality and color had no bearing on that. Just gender. That's equality, now it's special treatment.

 

Because our opinion was a minority opinion. We "got by" because we had no other choice. It's the same reason slavery was legal until it was not.

However, you people knew gays existed in the 70s. So why did you not take action back then to enshrine your beliefs into law? If this was such a huge issue for you, why did you wait so long?

 

So you would have opposed legalizing interracial marriage as well on the same grounds.

After all, blacks and whites could still marry someone of their own race, right? So marriage rights were therefore not being denied to them and no law was necessary.

 

And now a straight man can marry another straight man and a straight woman can marry a straight woman ... equality maintained. No special treatment.

The entire gay marriage thing was about 2 things. Poking a finger in the eye of religion and money. That's it. If it wasn't about poking the eye of the religious then they would have fought for the same rights within civil unions and if it wasn't about money they'd accept civil unions.

 

Why don't you name the countries that do not support what this POTUS supports concerning same sex marriage and I will list the countries that do and then we will compare lists.

 

I think this says it all. Why ELSE would anyone want to exercise civil rights guaranteed under the constitution, except to poke a finger in the eye of some religious nitwit?

 

I really don't mean to disrespect you but can you understand that for people who were brought up without religion this is not "interesting"?To me it's no more interesting than a quote from the Tao or the Bhagvad Gita.

Just sit back, look at those words and try to imagine how someone can see them as totally meaningless. That's the gap we have to bridge if we're going to get closer to any kind of understanding.

I know what your religious texts speak of. I can guess what meaning they must have for you but can you even get your head around the concept that, honestly, the words on the back of a cornflake box are equally impactful to my life and the lives of countless others?

I'm not anti-religious. I want you to have the freedom to enjoy any religious worship you desire. I just live my life without any of it and it doesn't bother or impact me in any way, shape or form.

 

They 'announce' it when they walk in holding someone's hand, or by engaging in casual but uncensored chat, or even with an offhand reference to 'honey' or 'my girlfriend Sandy'. Straight folks have no concept of how readily and brazenly they are constantly communicating their orientation. Its no more a distraction than grass growing or a breeze rustling through the trees because it is constantly happening.

 

Why does 'expand gay rights' sound like code for open warfare versus Christians? Glad I'm not a baker...

 

I still can't figure out why people like you inject race into an argument when race has no bearing in the topic of conversation.

You even changed the writing to blue. You just can't help bringing race up in a lost argument when you have nothing left to counter, can you.

 

Yeah, well you can thank social media and a corrupt government that admires drama queen bickering. You're still in the minority opinion, that's why the states want to vote on this on their own and the feds won't let us.

Fortunately for me, the rest of America does. Which is why this debate is effectively over. At this point it's all academic.

Where do you see that defined in out laws? Which Constitutional Amendment defines marriage in that way?

You keep saying this as if it is objectively obvious, but you have never cited any actual laws that support your claims.

If thats true, I don't know what you're complaining about. You have a very easy way to bypass the Supreme Court.

Pass a constitutional amendment defining marriage.

There's a lot of things you can't vote on. You can't vote on taking voting rights away from women. You can't vote to bring back slavery. You can't vote to convict people without due process.

You're not a separate country. There are some things you can't do. Even by vote.

Maybe you just have to find ancient predictions interesting then. What if Nostradamus wrote that in the coming of the end of the world, people would scoff religion as the followed in their own non religious desires and those would be the ones trying to divide you?

My religion gets scoffed on a daily basis by people following their own wicked ways, and we are constantly being divided.

I find that rather intriguing, but that's up to others to see it in a similar light. I'm not a preacher, I'm just a neutral bystander over here that attends church a few times a year and feel I should attend more.
