This assertion is illogical and not proved out by observation of the world around us: in every country with strict gun control and less guns in circulation: More Guns = More Crime, More Guns = More Death. Control works. It is working in every country where it is implemented.

 

Oh the hysteria of it all. Colt started selling the AR-15 in 1964. The AK-47 has been in production since 1949. Columbine was the first really orchestrated school shooting on April 20, 1999. That's 35 years between introduction of the AR-15 and Columbine and 50 years since the introduction of the AK-47.

Fasinating how for 35 years there were no mass school shootings with either the AR-15 or AK-47, but as realistic first person shooter computer games advanced realistically in conjunction with reckless perscribing of psycotropic drugs to teens and the school mass shootings started. If people are serious about stopping the tide of disturbed teens buying or stealing a AR-15 and shooting up a school like a first person shooter game, then those games should be banned for sale and possession. Add to that removing a psychaiatrists ability to perscribe psycotropic drugs without the OK of a real physician. Blaming the gun is like a miner finding fool's gold.

What is the total number of school massacres in the UK vs America. (UK is 1/6th the population so lets divide America's total by 6).

School massacres, UK has had one. Resulting in a ban of handguns and automatic rifles, (the weapons used).

Murder rate, UK national murder rate, the whole 65 million people is about equal to Chicago's alone.
London's murder rate is 1/4 of New York's. London's is at a record high, New Yorks at a record low.
There were 80 fatal stabbings in London in 2017 and 335 fatal shootings in New York in 2017. New York of course also had it's own fatal stabbings.

So are Americans genetically psychotic or is there another problem here?

Heart wrenching story--thanks for sharing that--Being brought up in rural Wisconsin,I so know the" get back up & try again", you learn not to make the same mistakes & eliminates the sissy attitude--An example would be, when learning how to ride a bike back then, there wasn't even a thought of wearing knee pads or helmets, if, you fell, you had scabbed knee's, we all had scabbed knee's, but,boy was riding a bike fun,so you got back on & learned, kids today don't know that feeling, perhaps,if they were left to get back up on their own instead of being overly protected---just a thought---
