Without the US, Vietnam is doing quite well.

We did not sell them on anything we had to offer.

 

If the American Imperialists had abided by the Geneva Agreement in 1954 to hold a referendum for reunification of Vietnam instead of supporting a small corrupt group and attacking Vietnam because of American Imperialism then they wouldn't have needed to build their wall of remembrance to futility in Washington.

 

There is no and never has been an example of American imperialism. The closest was the Philippines which was taken after the Spanish American war but granted independence ~ 17 years later IIRC.

 

Now it is. South Vietnam doing quite well as South Korea has done since the 1950’s. And there would be millions of more people alive today.

 

Where is Palestine? What are the physical boundaries? There are none.

So why did the US attack Vietnam in the American War if you claim it wasn't because of American Imperialism, given that Vietnam was no threat?

Have you heard of North and South Vietnam?

 

Have you heard of North and South Vietnam? Have you heard of North and South Korea? Have you heard of the similarities between the hostilities in these two areas of the world?

None of that had anything to do with the US. And unlike the American War against Vietnam the Korean war has never ended anyway.

 

The Geneva Accords divided Vietnam into the North and South divided by the 17th parallel.
