You made the claim that it was in North Vietnam's territorial waters to attack North Vietnam. That is false. If you have information to substantiate that the USS Maddox was in North Vietnam's territorial waters and had orders to attack North Vietnam then let's see that evidence.

 

Obviously it was there as part of the continual US attack during the American war against Vietnam, first to support the continuation of French colonialism after WW2, and then to support a corrupt police state controlled by a small elite in Saigon. And therefore it was a legitimate war target.

 

There was no war in 1964.

FYI Ky knew infinitely more than you know about the American War against Vietnam and the Vietnamese since he was the Vice President of South Vietnam when Vietnam was reunited in 1975, and his office was in the Presidential Palace in Saigon and he had a holiday villa in Vung Tau.
