So... they were unable to prove that there was willful misconduct, or willful ignorance... the State Dept leadership was simply completely incompetent.

Of course this was back in December... before all of the whistleblower stuff... and... the current investigation. The FBI was just getting in there at this point. This is why the hearings are important.

 

This just goes to prove they aren't hiding anything. There is no political conspiracy to let people die. People make mistakes all the time. People die all the time because of these mistakes. You go through the investigations, the root cause analysis and figure out ways to prevent it in the future. And there is no "whistleblower" information. What Hicks said is meaningless. They don't have to answer to Hicks, they made the decision to have his group go to the airport instead of to Benghazi. They don't need to listen to Hicks opinion on what he thinks they should of done.

All I'm saying is I believe our military and intelligence agencies are the greatest in the world. They are able to make mistakes in hindsight. But while you have 8 months to piece together the events and make up the scenario that you want to prove, they have to make decisions in real time. And everything I have read they made those decisions, they made them like they make any other military decisions. Obviously something went wrong with four dead, but that does not mean that their has to be a trial in to who made the mistakes. The investigation is very detailed in to every mistake they made. They made plenty of them. What hasn't been found is that any of these decisions were made for political reasons or for any reason other than trying to safely and securely evacuate Americans out of Benghazi.

 

What help? The only assets on hand to assist were two ex-SEALs and an AC-130. Did you expect someone to order the AC-130 to start hammering the consulate with artillery rounds that can kill people at out to a little over 1300 feet with no ground-side spotting assistance?
