Well, IF I had it, it was way back when, I was in the hospital, and surrounded by doctors and nurses if it became a real problem, but it didn't. Despite my health issues, I don't have the chronic stuff that was killing people, nor am I over 65 (or 75). And when applying your question to when my wife was confirmed positive, there is not way in hell to answer that. I suspect the drugs she got helped more than anything else, and she works for a hospital, so she went to the front of the line to get those drugs.
So, provide some evidence from a reliable source that masks "absolutely do not protect or prevent" as you seem so consider actual research to be 'logical fallacies'. Do you even understand what a logical fallacy is, seems not? If anybody is guilty of making logical fallacies it is you. You often make unsubstantiated assertions that you deliver with conviction that makes them sound as though they are proven facts. Alas, when people question you regarding your logical fallacies, you usually change the topic or produce some other logical fallacy. I think you will never be able to admit masks can be beneficial because then you would have to face the truth of you might be walking around infecting vulnerable people due to your erroneous beliefs. I wouldn't send a vulnerable person into a covid ward under any circumstances and my opinion related to that has nothing to do with the efficacy of masks.
~ Here's a suggestion for you " " Sounds like you should learn to live indoors. You can air condition a home. Heat AND air conditioning." Move to Ecuador for peace & freedom ...
Look above at the CDC link in my previous post - #552: https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/2...GLEFTIbzV3atyHqop9DqK-rhx7itJ0SY3eZm5erwTZw6g. BTW your post is a great example of an "ad hominem" attack logical fallacy. By besmirching my integrity you conclude that everything that I say is untruthful . Would you allow your grandmother who has diabetes, asthma, and is overweight to go into a room with strangers in close proximity who had surgical masks on? That would possibly prove fatal to your grandmother. Why would you not allow your grandmother into a covid ward if she wore a mask? If you believe masks protect then why not?
The money quote would likely be, "Disposable medical masks (also known as surgical masks) are loose-fitting devices that were designed to be worn by medical personnel to protect accidental contamination of patient wounds, and to protect the wearer against splashes or sprays of bodily fluids (36). There is limited evidence for their effectiveness in preventing influenza virus transmission either when worn by the infected person for source control or when worn by uninfected persons to reduce exposure. Our systematic review found no significant effect of face masks on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza." But suppose it was a little bit helpful. Cost benefit analysis. If no one ever leaves the home, maybe someone who otherwise might have died bumping into you will not do so. If it is this hard to prove the mask was helpful, it probably wasn't worth much.
BTW the correct come back to my post would be to provide quotes and a link to study or studies which prove that masks both absolutely protect the wearer and prevent the spread by the wearer from aerosol born viruses. There are no such studies.
My grandmother died 1994. I am saying your sources are untruthful. I’m still waiting for you to demonstrate masks don’t provide any protection, There are many studies that say otherwise or are you playing pigeon?
Nice dodge. Substitute any elderly person with those preconditions. The CDC is untruthful?? Please provide these studies that you claim prove that masks both prevent the wearer from spreading the virus and protect the wearer from being infected by the virus.
I'm loving all this silly arguing over China Virus Mandate Tyranny. In March of 2021, our Governor outlawed all such tyranny (mandatory masks, mandatory separation, closing schools/businesses, mandatory vaxxing, etc.). Our businesses and kids thrive and we're having fun from the beach to the block party. (We often observe that our kids, going to real school, will be doctors and astronauts while their blue state counterparts, stuck in front of a computer screen in their pajamas will still be trying to read.) BTW, we're 24th out of 50 states in China Virus Deaths... so we're doing ok in that regard. TEXAS!!! WHERE FREEDOM LIVES!!!
Yup... I refused to take the vaccine........ and I ended up forced to move to Ontario from Nova Scotia... because I retired one day before I would have been put on Unpaid Administrative Leave......
