Nice dodge ...I was referring to YOUR numbers here:
    ""unkotare said:

There are far, far too many."""

    How many is too many?

    Where?

    Who?

    When?

    How many?

It's funny when people just pull numbers out of their ass then "cite" them.

I'll make it easy for you....there are no "Pro-Abortion people.

There are Pro-CHOICE people who, unlike Anti-Choicers, believe women have the same rights as everyone else.

Pro-Choicers, unlike Anti-Choicers, don't believe in forcing women to do what they don't want to do concerning gestation and reproduction.

I don't think it is. That just sounds like a weak excuse to try to explain this away.

I can't imagine many adoptive parents would look overseas just for that concern.

There was that thread a while back about that controversial story about a woman who adopted a black baby and then had to return it because she was having trouble "bonding", and it was too rambunctious.

She was very ashamed, and got a lot of flack from people.

Back in the 80s, when gay couples wanted to adopt, it was common for the adoption agency to offer them a crack baby, since these children were a harder sell to other couples.

So your theory is that there is actually a shortage of kids available for adoption in the US?

sure seems like there is plenty of demand for foster parents here.

    Of some types.

It's not merely a "theory". You've never tried to adopt before.

Tell them you want to adopt three white babies and ask them about how long you will probably be on the wait list for that. They'll probably tell you if you're willing to wait 2 years, they might be able to connect you to a white baby that came from a woman who was heavily using drugs during the course of her entire pregnancy, and the child may turn out to have learning deficits, but are you okay with that.

Remember Michael Jackson? He actually had to pay a woman to have white children for him.

What does that tell you about the adoption market?

It's not even that families "only want a white baby", because you'll remember some years ago the US was also bringing in babies from Guatemala.

I think it's mainly that families (non-African American) are a little reluctant to adopt an Afro child, and African American families statistically do not adopt as often as the others.

    Oh you only want babies.

Most mothers who carry a child to term try to raise it, even if they cant.

People can get babies from overseas because they are farmed. It’s basically a human trafficking operation.

The mother-child bond wasn't forming. She decided to return it sooner rather than later, because she reasoned it would be worse for the child if she kept trying to make something that probably wasn't going to work work, and then abandon the child when it was older.

I know another family that adopted a "diverse" child, and tried to love it like their own, but they were just always more distant to that child than their other two children that were related to them.

Why are you talking about adoption in the abortion forum?

The piece you are missing is the fact that Ukrainian babies are white, and our unplanned babies are mostly not white.

Answer your own question: Why do white US families adopt from places like Ukraine and not Chicago?

Ah, white women (with capital 'W').....so, you did know the reason is race. Why do you ask?

There is NO law, commandment, writ, mandate, document, rule, reasoning, or logic that makes women obligated to provide other people with children

And YOU have never proven there is....they don't exist.

You saying they are under obligation to provide kids for other people does NOT make it true...

It's a dead dead dead horse , why do you keep beating it...???

The top country for children adopted by Americans is China. India and South Korea are #4 and #5. Haiti and Nigeria are #6 and #7.

The same number of times anyone tries to connect it to adoption.

An examination of the countries the Americans adopt from most often does not support the claim that they do so out of a desire for white children. Individual motivations will always vary.

How many abortions do you think is too many, FoxHastings? (That's a rhetorical question. We all already know the answer to that)

I think he was saying there are too many women getting abortions for bad reasons - and that in fact a big percentage of the abortions that are happening should not be happening.

Have you determined that all abortions are great, and the swellest thing since sliced bread?

Do you have any studies that show women never make the wrong decision?
