An interesting poll of CNN, MSNBC, Fox and Newsmax viewers

I don’t see this poll as an indictment on CNN and MSNBC viewers, I see it as an indictment on what those networks report and we know how that works.

It's seems reasonable to me that most people aren't that up on the republicans latest attacks on Joe Biden.

 

Of course they're less informed because those news organizations hardly ever speak ill of the Democrats or tell the truth about what the hell's going on.

I think my father said it best..... If you don't watch the news you will be uninformed and if you do watch the news you will be misinformed

We tend to live in our own news bubble these days. Sad.

 

When one side chastises claims that 100x2 = 402.50 and the other side retaliates with, “yeah, well, your side says that 10.9-9.8 = 1, as whataboutism, this is who we are.

we have to quit characterizing every flaw on team other as of the most serious of consequences, while claiming our team can do worse but it’s fine because I say so.

Until then, billionaires will keep enslaving congress creatures and we will keep fighting about the playboy found at a middle school and if churches are charities.

1) "Suggestions"-- that is, partisan allegations, lacking any credible basis-- are not an "important issue," except as far as showing the out of control dishonesty and desperation of the Republican Party, along with their loss of any sense of morals, abandonment of decency, and ignorance of what constitutes responsible behavior, or at least the lack of any will, within the GOP, to comport with the mores of propriety.


2) President Biden's economic policies, have given the U.S. the fastest growing economy, and the lowest inflation, among all comparable, first world countries. The rough, but valid guide to judging an economy's strength, the "misery index," which is an adding of the unemployment and inflation numbers, is 7.7 for Biden, which is better than at the time of any recent President's re-election: for Reagan it was 11.5; for Clinton, it was just under 9 (3% inflation and almost 6% unemployment); for George W. Bush, it was 9; for Barack Obama, it was 9.5. So welcome to the strongest economy we've had in a long time, courtesy of Joe Biden.


Therefore, in reality, the poll shows two things:

A) That viewers of the Right wing "news" sources, used in the poll/study, are worse than uninformed: they have bought into Republican propaganda, and so are now misinformed.

B) The Right wing propaganda machine, has not been as successful as it would hope to be, with voters on the Left.

 

It all makes perfect sense. To perfect a 2 tier justice system, media support is needed.

 

Steve, was the poll a credible poll done by an unbiased source.
Was it reported by a credible unbiased news source?
Are all the questions that were asked factually accurate and unbiased?

 

Those who watch MSNBC and CNN certainly are.

I thought that by Fox's own admission in the Dominion lawsuit that they admitted they are not to be trusted to deliver facts.

The two tiered justice system has existed for centuries ... rich v. poor.

The Trump case is the perfect example. If ANY poor person had taken secret documents from the government and stored them in their house, the FBI would
have immediately booked them, and thrown them in jail. Meanwhile, the rich dudes (Trump, Pence, Biden) are all treated with kid gloves - Trump wasn't
even printed or photographed, and was given over a year to return the documents before indicted. THAT'S the two tiered system.

 

Of which no evidence has been found to support these wild allegations.

 

That has nothing to do with what I said.

 

They have been going on for 2 1/2 years, and can be summed up with the lie: "open border." So why should any sane person want to listen to the same crackpot propaganda, night after night?

It's all about hating the others, who don't think "like us." It's for people who like getting outraged, which is what those Right wing sources, and the new Republican Party, have made it their central focus, to stir. Yes, the Left wing media promote outrage, as well; but the stories at the bottom of that outrage-- a lawless Supreme Court, accepting graft; a Republican Party, trying to circumvent democracy-- are much more legitimate reasons for outrage, than what pronouns one would like used for themself. So the hyperbole is not proportional, on both sides. And the outright lying, is pretty much confined to the Right.

 

No one said you have to believe it. However, not listening to it is denying the possibility that it might be true.

I will concede, it is a slight improvement, over scapegoating some less powerful women, at the station. And Tucker was possibly the worst; certainly he was the most influential. But it still ain't the truth.

 

My point was that I have already heard it, and that there is nothing really new in it. That is not "news," IMO. Secondly, I do not have time for watching news reports, from any source in which I don't have at least a basic level of trust. That is not to say, I have to believe they are perfectly accurate, at all times-- because nobody is. But they have to reach a threshold, of general honesty, which I have no reason to believe the talking heads at FOX, should be given credit for attaining. Also, there is the perspective: what stories the source considered important, and which ones it downplays, or ignores. I find the threats to our democracy and political system, to be of the utmost importance; I won't hear much about that, on FOX.
