An open letter to the President

Dear Mr. President.

I write to you today with a broken heart. As you well know, 19 children and two teachers were gunned down by a mentally ill teenager in an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. When you gave a public message of condolence to the parents and families of these murdered young people, I thought you started your comments on the correct note. You were going to be the leader the President of the United States is expected to be. I expected that you would say kind words to soothe our broken hearts and bring all Americans together to understand what a tragedy this mass murder of innocent children and teachers is for all Americans.

Instead, you turned it into a blatant political speech supporting your political agenda. As a Christian, I was also revolted at the times you used our God's name in vain. People in your position are held to a much higher standard than what you demonstrated in your message. In my 83 years on this Earth, I have never heard a President, either Republican or Democrat, speak following the murder of innocent Americans, who dipped to the depths of political crassness you did, sir. It was offensive and totally out of place….

This congressman from Texas is so right on regarding all that he wrote. He was right to dress down and call out that thing that some call their President on all that he did. The President of blue America had no right to say what he did and be so divisive at a time like this.

 

Why Mr. President did you have to be so inappropriate in your use of Gods name?

 

Guess what, you can't pull the trigger of a gun you don't have.

 

You’re upset because a man used the word of God to further a political purpose?

I don’t have one. I simply support the constitutional rights of those that do, to the point that I will protect that right to the point of the grabbers having to overturn the constitution and the republic and send tanks into the streets in order to actually prevail on this particular issue. We will have the UN infringed 2A individual right to gun ownership in this country short of that, come what may.

 

It is the right of most American citizens to have a gun... it is not your call.

The gun people have won't go off unless a person intentionally removes the trigger lock off of it, intentionally loads it with ammo and intentionally puts a bullet in the chamber, intentionally release the safety, and responsibly pulls the trigger... the gun does not go off on it's own, the person operating the gun has to complete each step before a gun will shoot.

Still to this day, not a single one of my 13 (soon to be 14) guns have killed a person. Not one ever fired a single round at a person.
I can't for the life of me figure out how guns have killed so many people when something must aim and pull a trigger. How do guns do thay by themselves?

 

Do an experiment, point your finger at a target and yell bang, then point a loaded gun at a target and pull the trigger. Which one do you think will damage the target more?

See my post above. A finger is used to fire said gun. So the gun can't kill anyone by itself. It needs a finger, controlled by a human brain to kill. By itself a gun is just a tool. By itself it can't kill anybody. So let's not blame the gun as it just an object. Let's blame the finger and the brain that pulls the trigger
