Have been taking some time out. Too much arguing... too much dross...

Christmas looms. Preferred Christmas drink? Food? Put the tree up? I put a different thing at the top of the tree each year, depending on my mood. Might put Gough up there this year. Yes, thanks Gough for free health care and numerous, numerous other things... plus a fantastic person. Yes, yes, the Gough bashers can suck it. I don't care. He still goes to the top of the tree and nothin' you can do about it. LOL. I'm not partial to people that don't like Gough anyway, so that pans out just fine. Keating good value, too. The musical even better, LOL.

    Handsome fella he was:

Gwen,, I've always been a Gough fan.

Who can forget his immortal words on the steps of Parliament House on 11/11/1975?? "We may say God save the Queen, but nothing will save the Governor General"..

    Merry Christmas.

Efjay I wasn't even born when Gough was in power but every Aussie knows who he is and what he did for the country. He will be remembered by every single Australian for hundreds of years yet.

And for shoving it up the Americans and pulling the Australian boys (and girls) out of Vietnam,, and more impotantly, stopping conscription in Australia.

Also, the ALP is the driving force which resulted in Australians have such a high standard of living compared to the USA and Europe.

    Merry xmas Gwen,

Yeah Gough was one of the last true patriot PM's we have had.

    Abit like Rudd,

Now lets see what did Rudd do that people hate him so much,

    1. He suggested that we have a government owned bank and he got called a socialist or communist.

Well when the reserve bank of oz passes interest rate cuts a government owned bank would have passed the whole cut not what they saw fit. So who would you bank with and pay your morgage with then.

OUCH the international bankers really smarted from that one, they cant afford to pass on the whole cut of course at least thats what they tell us PPSSSSTT thats bull(*)(*)(*)(*).

    2. He was in favour of an ETS but said that now is not the right time for oz, bang, thud, he was out on his ear and Judas (oops Julia) took the rains.

    She promised she wouldn't??!!

    3. 2008 the recession hit the whole world, Rudd gave 45 billion to the people in bonuses and governemnt projects, alot of you said why the hell did he do that wasting tax payers money.

Well maybe he should have given it to the international bankers not that they need it but you might have prasied him for that one.

And thats why Rudd is no longer PM.

Yeah he didn't listen, but i wonder who he wasn't listening to.
